4 /5 Carl Castello: . I go to Larry bell park about once a month when Im in town. It is A awesome place for pickleball . The people are very nice. The courts are In good shape, a little tight at the back line to the fence. In my opinion, the best time to go evens evenings, around 5 or 6. The the young college students give awesome competition and are courteous. Nice people.

5 /5 Emma Wolpert: Great park with awesome pickleball courts. We met a lot of friendly people and played all evening with them. The GPS sends you to the wrong place. The entrance is off of S Marietta Pkwy, NOT Manget St.

3 /5 CookingwithGringoLoco At instagram: THIS IS NOT A PICNIC PARK!!!!!!! Do no get lost with GPS, if you see Girls inc in the parking lot you need to leave. Theyll tow your vehicle. Take a right out and a right at the corner and slow down for a last right into non visible entrance. You should see the gate chained open. Just to be clear this is not a picnic park!!! It does have tons of courts, though. The place is crowded, I never knew there was so many Tennis players here. Lots of people. The parking is tricky because if you dont get the first 20 spots next to the park, then you might have to park behind the grey building. There is a lot of parking back there, right next to the lot is an aquarium place, if Im correct. Nearby is Whitaker Park. Its a small park.

Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park - Kennesaw

Joseph Gumeny: Love it! 708 elevation gain to the summit. Great views of downtown ATL and the surrounding area! Lots of cool history. No paved trails, so wear your hiking shoes! The visitor center closes at 5:00. GATED Overflow parking lot closes at 6:30 so be sure to give yourself time to get down! Or you can park on a side street and not be rushed. Love this place!

Tumlin Park - Marietta

Surya R: Got a large open area for activities and games. The kids play area got variety of play equipments which can engage kids of all age. Got limited picnic seats. Restrooms are clean and good. The cycling track are on the perimeter of the park.

Cochran Shoals Unit, Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area - Marietta

Meg Marsh: We recently moved from Florida to Atlanta, and we went for the first time in mid fall. Cochran Shoals is walkable and beautiful for people of all ages PLUS their dogs! You can rent bicycles or bring your own, and there are a few trails you can choose from, making this as long as you walk as you like. The paths are so broad , with a few water fountains along the way for drinking; there is a restroom station as well which is clean!! This is a great place to walk alone, for solitude and reflection, or with your (leashed) dog, or with friends for a fun and healthy day together.

Southern Museum of Civil War and Locomotive History - Kennesaw

Kaeti MacNeil: A great museum to take elderly family. We toured around and looked at the old machinery. The displays have thorough information to learn the histories of the objects on display. The place to go for train enthusiasts - even the gift shop. Ample free parking in the back of the building.

Wildwood Park - marietta - Marietta

Michael Cichetti: Great disc golf course! Clear signage so easy to find next hole and well designed. Every other hole has an alternate long so it’s a good mix of pitch and putt and longer. Highly recommend… only con is poison ivy so watch out!

A.L. Burruss Nature Park - Marietta

Jasmine: Like many others have stated this is definitely a place for cruising. I saw 6 single men, no hiking clothes, walking from different areas of the park and/or hanging in the parking lot. It’s the most unsafe I have felt in any park. The irony of the sign stating it’s patrolled by Marietta PD as you enter is a nice touch.

Sweat Mountain Park - Marietta

Tessa Bello: This is a great park! Great playground for little ones in the shade in the mornings, some wooded walking trails east of the baseball diamonds, and batting cages for practicing. The restrooms are also very well maintained and were freshly cleaned when we used them during our last visit! We love how its tucked into the neighborhood, but easy to find next to the elementary school. Definitely will be going to this park again!

Manfred Mann: This is a community with historical roots going back to the late nineteenth century. It was home to whites and blacks, each living in their own neighborhoods. It is walking distance from the Marietta Square down Whitlock Avenue. It has contemporary, mid-twentieth century, and late nineteenth century homes.

Whitaker Park - Marietta

Sarah Turner: Small park with 2 playgrounds (one for small children and one for older) a bathroom, 1 picnic table, a gazebo, and a nice walking track. Very well kept. I love visiting with my dogs and baby.
