1 /5 Angie Pazmino: One star due to their inconsistent and unjustifiable pricing. While they charge my friend $55 for detailed designs and a decent length, Ive been charged from $50 to $80 for simpler sets at the same length. The salon claims prices are based on nail length, and design intricacies, but my experience suggests it depends on the technicians whims. This lack of transparency feels dishonest and has eroded my trust. Other salons have offered me better service with clear pricing breakdowns, highlighting Tips n’ Toes shortcomings. Customers deserve consistency and transparency in pricing, which Tips N Toes fails to provide.
Edit as of 2/21/2025: Because it had been so long, I decided to give Tips n’ Toes another try. I will never make that mistake again. In less than 24 hours after getting a new set, my nail bed cracked because the acrylic base was too thin for the length I had. I went back ASAP and as i was sitting down, another nail cracked. They fixed them, and the nail tech apologized for making them too thin. I was already annoyed that I had to come back, but when I got home (10 minutes later), the same nail broke because the nail tech somehow didn’t realize that my nail bed had cracked underneath (or she did, and ignored it).
When I returned for another repair, a different tech fixed the set only after questioning me about any rough handling on my part. I explained that I’ve always been extremely gentle with my nails, so she blamed the breakage on the nails being “too long,” even though she admitted they were too thin for the length. When I asked why I was allowed to leave with clearly compromised nails, she had no answer. In the end, she redid the set while trying to placate me by commenting on how pretty they looked—even in their broken state.
I wasted an extra hour and a half of my time on a completely avoidable and amateur mistake. Is the tech that did my nails even licensed? Cindy was sitting 10 feet away the entire time, indifferent to the unprofessionalism in her salon.
All of this for some bulky, misshapen nails. I would’ve loved to tell them to fix the shape, but I spent so long there, I really just wanted to leave. Ideally, I would’ve gone somewhere else to get this set soaked off immediately, but I don’t want to put my nails through so much stress. Thank you Cindy, for making sure I never waste my money here again!
