5 /5 Andrew Roussey: St. James Orthodox Church is a mission church, and therefore very small. Given its size, I am amazed at how good the choir is for only a few people. Everyone there has been so welcoming. After moving here in 2008, I experienced feeling "invisible" at some other churchs coffee hours, where nobody came to talk to me or my family. It seems that everyone in this church wants to get to know each new person right away. How refreshing.
Father Steven is a fantastic priest, and you can really get to know him given the size of the church. I like that its located right off of 985, which makes it a breeze to get to.
If youre looking for an Orthodox church in Gwinnett county, and want to participate in its growth, this is the place to be.
