3 /5 Laura: Rating is only because they fit me in quickly. Won’t be back. Thought I had found a local salon, but I’ll have to keep searching. Left with wet hair on cut that didn’t follow my part. Asked to keep length - just get a trim and shape a bit - to which I got three layers very different lengths. Luckily hair grows, but was highly disappointed with the experience.

1 /5 Jessica Jordan: I call headed to see if they did walk-in. They didn’t speak much on the phone and asked me what I was looking for and I said I wanted to get my sons hair cut. They didn’t say anything for a minute and told me to come on in. So I did. When I got there no one spoke a word to me and what I could only guess is they seen that my son was a small child. He is only 2 and is in need of a hair cut. The lady who spoke to me finally. I guess to what appeared to me a rock, paper, scissor to who would be the one to cut his hair. Showed a attitude to me. The whole time she was more concerned of a color appointment she had. So I did not feel welcome at all. Even though I call before hand. We go to set my son up to get his hair cut even though i felt unwelcome. Keep in mind he is 2 and is not uses to other people touching him. So he moved his head and cried out in response to the lady touching him with out even saying hey to him. Didn’t help him to feel welcome either. Then told my son if you cry you don’t get a sucker. The lady told me if he was going to cry and not sit still that she didn’t want to cut his hair. Because she had a color appointment coming in. I told her once again he is 2 he is probably going to be uncomfortable with this process. Then got frustrated with my son because he was scared. So already feeling unwelcome and feeling like my son was a problem. I picked my son up and left. As I am walking out she said she didn’t want to cut him. I get it he is a small child they move around and they cry. If you don’t want small kids coming to your business say that. But don’t make my child feel like a inconvenience to your day. So if your looking to get a small child’s hair cut don’t go here. They do not welcome them with kindness. If she was to cut my sons hair he wouldn’t had enjoyed the process and she would had ruined it for the next time. And how she was acting I don’t feel she would had even try to do a good job.

5 /5 Mary Daniel: 1st time customer! Took my daughter there for her 13th birthday, Stephanie was AMAZING!. I was so pleased how much thought she put in cutting and highlighting her hair. We spoke for several days prior to appointment and she just wanted to make sure we went through several different options that was close to what she wanted and the pro and cons of each. Ive never seen a hair dresser put this much thought and attention to a customer, just seeing the results from my daughter makes me want to get my hair done. We will only be going to Stephanie, other staff were so sweet and amazing. LOVE YALL at Southern Styles. P.s thank you for making my baby feel special for her big 13th.

5 /5 Kristi Martin: We had the best experience. Stephanie, I believe was the stylist’s name, did an excellent job on our daughter’s hair. She made her feel like a princess. Highly recommend. Will use again.
