1 /5 Assaf Gleizner: Very disappointed by the way the receptionist has handled my calls.
I reached out to receive a second opinion after doing an exam with another clinic. The receptionist explained that they will still have to charge me for an entire exam even with me providing the X-rays and everything.
After scheduling a time, I received a text the day of that my appointment was cancelled. Same receptionist claimed that she called and left a voice message which wasn’t true. I asked when the next appointment available will be and it wasn’t until 7 days from now. I tried to ask if there’s a way to maybe squeeze in a short appointment since again - all the X-rays were taken and her response was “you don’t have to do business with us, you can always go back to the original provider”.
We ended the call and I thought I’ll try one more time to schedule. At that point the receptionist said they’re refusing to take me as a patient and claimed that I demanded the Dr. will see me even though she had a family emergency? As a small business owner myself with employees, I would never EVER say something like that to anyone, especially another professional.
I have no idea how a phone call can get so misconstrued and why the receptionist treated me the way she did. I’m surprised that people who work at this profession don’t have more empathy towards prospective patients who are already in a situation that is uncomfortable for them, and instead of answering with compassion, they will be so apathetic.
Unfortunately my insurance doesn’t give me that many options which I guess this practice is using as leverage for not putting that much effort into making their prospective patients feel like they’re walking into an understanding and welcoming environment.
Hopefully I’ll be able to find an alternative that does
