1 /5 Galaxy Flutterby: I am from Atlanta. I have experience managing 2 salons that thrived in the city. I had my hair done by Kristy October of 2017. My hair looked very nice although the highlights were a little too blonde. I wasnt worried because I thought well its fall and I can get it done again around my birthday in December. I tried to get an appointment the week of Thanksgiving, I called and they were "booked". So I said to myself I will wait and schedule the week before my birthday which is on December 9th. I called after Thanksgiving and wanted an appointment before going out for my birthday but they were " booked". At that point I realized with the holidays coming up I should go ahead and schedule before Christmas however they had no availability until December 17th and I asked the salon to confirm my appointment. I have been living in Cumming because I have 2 significant health issues which I should not feel like I need to talk about with a salon because they are hair stylists not cancer specialists. I am 41 years old and the owner was very arrogant about the fact I am dealing with breast cancer and said basically thats no excuse for missing your appointment, "I have a breast cancer survivor under my dryer right now gotta go". I Iwrote the appointment on my calendar for December 17th and called the day before and I was told that my appointment was on the 27th. So I wrote down 2:00pm December 27th. With all of the holiday stress I completely collapsed in the bed and I called and apologized and rescheduled my appointment for the January 17th. The day before my appointment snow was in the forecast so I called the salon a second time very upset explaining that my dog had a seizure and that snow was in the forecast for the next day. Again I apologized for any inconvenience and offered to pay $150.00 towards my hair appointment and said when I come in and have my hair done I will pay the rest plus a tip because it was over $200 when I went in October. I had every intention of doing the right thing. Today however the owner called and said that they had received my message but did not want to schedule another appointment because I missed one and cancelled due to snow the second time. I am so stressed out with doctors appointments, health insurance etc. and I sincerely apoligized that I couldnt come in because of the snow day and my dogs seizure. They were closed on the day it snowed and I thought I had paid for the misunderstanding and missed appointment and that I could make an appointment today for this week now that the ice has melted. The owner called me and said that the salon would not give me an appointment even though I paid $150.00 towards the services which were unrendered. I have had an enormous amount of stress trying to schedule an appointment with the salon because they are so busy. I understand that they are busy because honestly I havent found a salon in Cumming that can actually get color that looks so nice. My experience with the service in October was great! Kristy is wonderful. My biggest problem has been that they are too busy to establish any new clients and schedule appointments that work for the client. If you work 9-5 go somewhere else because they are booked on Saturdays and only open until 3:00 pm. If youre lucky you might be able to get an appointment according to their schedule not yours. They have established a clientele and they are booked. So good luck finding somewhere else. In Atlanta we asked clients when they were available, in Cumming you have to ask when are the stylists available? Schedule each appointment while you are there because the chances are slim that you will be able to make one for touch ups until your roots are 4 inches long!!!!! Great salon however maybe they should open a second location since they are booked until next year. And maybe they should be open and understanding that clients are available when its convenient for them not the salon!
