3 /5 Athena Dunlap: Cane visited the family and tried to check out the cave. Multiple numbers are listed for this to make and nobody ever answered. It was locked up when we arrived with no park staff on site. Overall, the park was pretty, but I think they need a better reservation system for the caves. Other than a phone number, nobody answers.

Looking forward to Christmas activities and much more! This is a beautiful town with wonderful people. Love the local shops and restaurants. Worth visiting multiple times!! Bring clean jugs if you want to take home delicious spring water to drink (free).

4 /5 Jennifer Wright: Fun spot to check out. The cave was pretty cool. I definitely recommend good shoes with a good grip as it was slippery and a bit muddy. You do have some “steps” that will require some true physical ability. It’s cash only for the admission. But it was definitely a neat & a nice place to cool off from the heat. The water was nice & cold, enjoyed putting our feet in. My LO enjoyed splashing and playing with all the kids. We didn’t get to experience the pool but will definitely be back to do so. The town was nice, everyone super nice. Nice little shops & restaurants. Overall we enjoyed the day spent at Cave Springs and will definitely be back!

3 /5 Steve S: It was Labor Day weekend. Park was very busy. Went in the Cave for $2. It was crowded and the cave is muddy. People were getting the cave springs water. A lot of people were bringing 5 gallon bottles to get the spring water. There are pavilions to eat at. Streams to play in. There is also a church on site and a building to get married in. The park’s popularity has caused it to need some love. Bathrooms are awful. Everything needs updating.

McDuffie Museum - Thomson

LISA GANES: Found this museum searching for things to do while camping at nearby Mistletoe State Park. Great little gem, packed with interesting local history! Husband and wife working there were awesome, helpful and friendly! No entrance charge but donation box available. You could easily spend and hour or more looking and reading. Beautifully kept building! Originally a bank and a store now with a doorway between them. Very clean restrooms ;)

Mitchell Depot Historical Museum - Mitchell

Not Available: This place is beautiful. Its been temporarily closed for a while, but since they renovated the outdoor stairs recently, I have high hopes its coming back. There are lots of historic buildings around the property that you can investigate while on the walking path. An old post office, for instance. The park next door is convenient, too.

Lincoln County Historical Park - Lincolnton

Jennifer Wenzel: This is a quaint, historical village with a lot to see and experience. We were there on a day when buildings were locked up, but there was still a lot to see and read about the various buildings and implements. We were particularly enchanted with the schoolhouse....looking inside we could see old desks and an old classroom setup. The saw mill is still intact and there is a sugar mill on sight that clearly was operated using a horse in the past. We would love to visit when more buildings are open and we are able to see and learn more. There is also a cotton gin building and several other trade buildings on site. Everything is nicely preserved and interesting.

Judi Hyde: Wonderful place! The lady there was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. (Sorry, we dont recall her name, but she was charming). We learned a lot about the area, and she suggested many places to go during our visit. There were a lot of informational brochures and a nice gift shop.

Michelle Sweat: My husband and I stayed here for one night as a stop while traveling. We absolutely loved it! We did the primitive camping and were very pleased with the site we had. We had plenty of space and it’s a beautiful location. We also enjoyed the bunnies and wildlife very much! The staff are also very friendly! We will be back!

Selden Park - Brunswick

Nicole Strickland: I’m from Port St. Lucie, FL and was taking a road trip to Pigeon Forge, TN. I stopped at this park as a pit stop to let my puppy and toddler stretch their legs. This 33 acre park is operated by Glynn County Recreation and Parks. The park has tall, beautiful oak trees that provide lots of shade and a nice scenic view, a large pavilion with restrooms, a big playground with slides and swings, a soccer field, tennis courts, pool, outdoor basketball court, a gym and indoor basketball court along with a multitude of special events. My favorite feature of the park was all the land and the trees. Selden Park is a beautiful facility with lots to offer. I’m rating 5 stars for the amenities and cleanliness. I would definitely recommend checking this place out.

Lovers Oak - Brunswick

B: A very beautiful grand oak tree that would have so many stories it could tell if it could . Its in a neighborhood thats borderline beautiful mixed with a bit run down but is seemingly safe. Its worth the drive to see it, just be sure to request the tree and dont cause harm to it by climbing it.

Pinball Palace - Brunswick

Paul Aughey: So many great games! Two buildings chock full of great games. Mostly pinball but quite a few video games, ping pong tables, and a room of bouncy castles. Charge by the hour and cheaper than a movie ticket. We had a blast. Oh, and good beer choices too for the adults.
