5 /5 Lynn Agnes: Rock Creek Veterans Park & Longwood Park (on Lake Lanier)have it all - a memorial to American Veterans, paved paths which makes it enjoyable and safe for all levels of walkers, runners, families with young children & dogs (terrific playground and even a small beach and tennis/pickle ball courts on Lake Lanier as well as fishing pier & rental kayaks)…and beautiful native flowers & art. It’s a happy place

4 /5 Robert Rinderle: If you pick up the trail at midtown at the veterans memorial and walk towards the lake, its all downhill but a very slight slope and you can walk all the way down to the lake where there is a big park. And if you do the return trip it is approximately 3 mi. A little bit over 3. Mi its a nice walk. Its all paved and they have lights.

Arie Ross: Beautiful plantation home! The owner/resident caretaker is a rare breed and devotes her whole self to the upkeep and preservation of this jewel of Georgia! Had a fun tour and could have stayed all evening to chat with her. The best home tour I’ve ever experienced, and I’ve done tons of them.

West Georgia Museum of Tallapoosa - Tallapoosa

pianogirlny: This museum is a hidden gem! They have many neat exhibits that give a glimpse into the history of the local area as well as the region. The woman who gave us the tour has done extensive research and was a fountain of information. We were there for well over 2 hours and still could have stayed longer. Just go - you wont be disappointed!

K Reed: This was such a nice experience. The museum is very well curated and has some fascinating bits of memorabilia. I enjoyed this museum even more than the World of Coke in Atlanta. It was not crowded at all and we got to enjoy each exhibit. The nice lady who was running the museum when we visited was so helpful and answered all my questions.

Harris County Recreation Department - Hamilton

Jacqueline Lemaire: Wonderful recreation/community center. The staff is always helpful and goes above and beyond. The memberships for individuals/families ($10/pp) is such a great idea for the community. The pool is huge and clean, the parking is wonderful, and its great to have an option of a gym in Harris County.

Callaway Gardens Information Center - Pine Mountain

Teresa Kennedy: Our trip was on 11-30-24. We were Looking to another year of Callaway lights. Little did we know our 7:30 drive through tickets were a waste of time. We were moved through the line just a half mile maybe in the park no lights to be seen and we sat there in the dark for 2 hours and my granddaughter fell asleep before we started moving at 9:45 toward the lights. I have reached out to Tyler several times only to be put off or sent to voice mail. Truly surprised that this has been handled in this manner. We were and I repeat were regular visitors to Callaway but will not be planning any further trips. If this is the way they handle what was truly a problem with the organization that night and the way we have been put off definitely not where we will spend our money in future.

Lookout point - Pine Mountain

Christy Dagsaan: Beautiful spot on Hwy 190 up Pine Mountain. Please bear in mind that the sun’s location changes with each season but still, this place is definitely worth checking out if you’re in the area. I came up for sunset views but the whole vibe is meditative.

Steven Nowak: Cant see this unless you pay for the Callaway day pass. $25 a person. So Ill never go back
