5 /5 Bruce K.: Part of the Chattahoochee National Forest that is some 750,000 acres (3039 square kilometers) and for reference, the State of Rhode Island is only 4000 square kilometers), I managed to get here just in time for sunrise. With only a couple of cars going past, it was very quiet and very peaceful. I really lucked out with the timing.
There is parking here, a couple of benches (wet with morning dew) and a graffiti-covered nearly illegible caption. This space (and the forest) is managed by the US Department of Agriculture Forest Service. And thank you for what you do!
