1 /5 Brandy Nordan: I am writing this review after losing my father in a motorcycle accident. During the most difficult time of my life, this impound lot made an already unbearable situation worse. When I first called after the accident, I spoke with two staff members who assured me that there would be no storage charges because my father had died in the accident. During my grief, this was one small relief - knowing I wouldnt have to worry about accumulating storage costs while dealing with funeral arrangements and everything else that comes with sudden loss. However, I just discovered through the insurance company that this business charged the maximum allowable fee in Georgia. When I called to ask about this contradiction, I spoke with the same man and woman who had originally promised no storage charges. His response was I never said that! Acted like I was lying! , that "this is a business" and "I already worked it out with the insurance company there is no compromising!! Very rude and hateful!! No compassion!! I understand that businesses need to make money, but lying to a grieving daughter about charges is inexcusable. If there were going to be fees, I deserved to know that upfront so I could make informed decisions during an already overwhelming time. Instead, I was given false reassurance and then hit with a massive bill. No family should have to deal with broken promises and surprise charges while mourning the loss of a loved one. The complete lack of compassion and integrity shown by this company is appalling. Losing a parent is devasting enough without having to deal with a dishonest buisness practices on top of everything else!
