5 /5 Jeff Shamblin: I love the square. It just feels small town. It feels so comfortable. When theres an event, I love being there watching all that goes on. Its just fun to be a part of the community.

4 /5 Bruce K.: Aside from the Confederate Monument here, this square at the center of downtown Gainesville includes several artworks. I recommend the "Solar System Walking Tour" that includes the planets and Sun with captions and information. The park includes benches and shade trees which were welcome on a warm late Summer morning. Street parking is all around and I had no trouble finding a spot for the Sprinter van. A parking deck is nearby - the van is over 9 feet tall so I couldnt fit. Lots of restaurants and shopping and coffee shops.

4 /5 Mindy M.: Its a nice little park for a bag lunch in the sun (or shade - plenty of trees.) There are some restaurants and stores (boutiques, really) that surround it and its only a short block from some Brenau University buildings. When I was there, there was a Jack-o-lantern contest to raise money for something and several young families had brought their small children. Theres no playground, so it wasnt noisy, just a nice place to stop and rest and enjoy the weather.
