05-2025 Funk Wesley T DDS in Best 8 Dental Clinics and Dentists in Clayton, GA You Can Rely OnFamily Dental Health of Augusta - Augusta Melanie Hunter: I had such a great experience at Dr. Cook’s office! From the moment I arrived, Brittany at the front desk was warm, welcoming, and super helpful—she made everything smooth from check-in to check-out. Leah, Dr. Cook’s assistant, was kind and professional, making me feel totally at ease right away and she was super gentle while taking my X-rays. Leahs calm and friendly attitude helped me ease my nerves prior to seeing Dr. Cook. Dr. Cook himself was fantastic—thorough, gentle, caring and compassionate and he really took the time to explain everything clearly. Dr. Cook truly went above and beyond to be certain that treatment would not have an adverse effect on my health. You can tell the whole team cares about their patients and works so well together. I’m genuinely glad I found this office. I highly recommend if youre looking for exceptional dental care in a friendly, supportive environment Family Dental Health of Augusta is the best.
Anderson William G DDS - Augusta Beth Rainey: Michelle & Dr. Will make each dental cleaning a pleasant experience. I always enjoy each visit, catching up with friends & clean teeth. Thank you both for being so AMAZING at your job and such great people!
Augusta Family Dental Summerville, Sky Jones, DMD - Augusta Brittany Travis: I had my first appointment at this dental office, and I must say it was an amazing experience from start to finish! From the moment I walked in, Tish at the front desk greeted me with the warmest smile and made me feel so welcome. Her friendly demeanor and positive energy truly set the tone for a great visit.
Maria, the dental hygienist, was absolutely phenomenal! She took the time to explain each step of the cleaning process, which really helped ease any nerves I had. She was gentle, thorough, and incredibly professional. I appreciated her attention to detail and the care she put into making sure I was comfortable the entire time.
Im so happy I chose this dental office. The staff is amazing, and the level of care is unmatched. I highly recommend this office to anyone looking for a friendly, knowledgeable, and welcoming dental team. Thank you all for such a great experience - I cant wait for my next visit!
Augusta Family Dental - Hephzibah - Hephzibah Sarah Mason: This was my first of many appointments and it wasnt too bad! The assistant, Kenya (probably spelled wrong) was absolutely fantastic! Im a baby about a dentist and she was very reassuring and calming. Dr. C was efficient during the visit but answered all my questions (Ill write any future questions down, tho). The only negative I had was the freezing temp of the waiting room (I was provided a blanket when I went to the back). Reception was friendly and answered my questions, too. I will be going back...many times...
Augusta Family Dental Medical District, Dr. Deborah Makerson - Augusta HONEY KAYLA: Dr. Makerson’s office is an absolute joke. I had a 1:00 PM appointment, showed up early at 12:46—doors were locked. Came back at 1:00—still locked. I called, no answer. Eventually got someone on the phone who casually tells me they’re at lunch and won’t be back until 2:00. Then why was I scheduled for 1:00 in the first place? This was already a rescheduled appointment because they messed up the day before. I even left work early for this. No communication, no professionalism, and zero respect for people’s time. Dr. Makerson’s office is a disorganized, careless mess. Do yourself a favor and go anywhere else.
Dental College of Georgia - Augusta Jennifer Riley: Review of Dr. Tara Schafer – Dental College of Georgia
i honestly don’t even know where to start. im not the type to write reviews but after everything that happened, i just cant stay quiet.
we trusted dr. schafer and the team there to handle something that should’ve been routine and careful. instead, it turned into a total mess. stuff happened that shouldn’t have. things that don’t add up. and every time we tried to ask questions or understand what was going on, we got brushed off. or told something different than before. honestly felt like they were just covering themselves.
records didn’t match up with what we were told. things weren’t explained until after they were already done. and for a patient with a serious medical history? that’s just not okay. it’s scary.
then—when we pushed for answers, when we tried to make sense of it all—they cut us off. no more care. just like that. after everything.
i’m exhausted. emotionally drained. and my kid deserves better. families deserve better.
if you’re considering going here and your child has complex needs or health conditions, please please ask everything. get stuff in writing. triple check. don’t assume anything. i wish we had.
