5 /5 C White: This was a very nice walk not very long maybe half a mile there and back if not .2 more but when you get there, you’re immediately met with cool breeze and nice streams with a moderate size waterfall. We climb on the rocks just do it carefully. There’s also the DuneBlue Ridge cabin Dune rental right next to it, which is a nice overlook. Highly recommended you don’t need to have a strenuous walk there are hills, but it’s nothing that you can’t handle if you are a typical walker.

5 /5 Kaeti MacNeil: Spectacular multi-tiered waterfall. Fresh, cold water. Low flat walks with plenty of people wading and playing in the falls. There is a viewing dock as well. The hike is a bit hilly and rough with lots of visible roots. The road to the parking lot is over 3 miles of gravel.

5 /5 Doug Ford: If ever in the northeastern Georgia mountains between the towns of Ellijay and Blue Ridge is a very small town Cherry Log in which Rock Creek Rd heads east to Fall Branch Falls in the Rich Mountain area. Gorgeous three tiered falls to enjoy after a moderate half mile hike with loads of mountain Laurels in full bloom when we chose to visit. Dog friendly trail as well and it has a very nice observation deck at the bottom of the falls with glamping domes high up on the opposite hill among the trees with hammocks for the guests staying there. Well worth the drive and effort to get out in remote nature with lots of hot pink rhododendrone along the drive into the falls.

5 /5 Corey Holstein: Fantastic hike but not as easy as google makes it seem. Many roots and slick clay. A lot of uphill climbing and big steps.

4 /5 Tabatha Lopez: So if you follow google maps it will take you to a glamping site where we parked literally right next to the falls and then did a hike above the falls. The actual hike start is before the hard left turn in google maps it’s marked with a wooden sign. I suggest walking sticks. We went at sunrise after it hard rained and I definitely fell 4 times because of the slick clay and wet leaves.

Linda Givens: Beautiful church. There is no parking lot. We parked on sude of the road and walked around the grounds.

Lake Horton Park - Fayetteville

Kip Kilpatrick: This is a beautiful park. Nice pavilions for family gatherings, friend gatherings, and various types of parties. There is a nice playground for the children and open spaces for adult activities. There are winding paved trails for casual hiking. Dogs are welcome as long as they are on a leash. There is a clean restroom at each end of the public areas. Fishing is good for Crappy, bass, and Bream. My wife and I prefer to troll over underwater humps and around points for the Crappy. Several farm ponds were flooded when the lake was filled, and their dams seem to be a good bet for finding largemouth bass. Fayette County residents can get in free. Non residents are required to purchase a yearly pass. The Sheriffs Department and Marshals visit frequently. They tend to be helpful and friendly. LAKE HORTON PARK is a great place to visit for a few hours or a full day of relaxation. k

Alex Düsenberg: Last Friday, on the 17th of Jan 2025, weve had a tour. We were honestly deeply shocked and disappointed about what was presented. First of all I want to share the positive things: The staff did their job well, they tried to present the poor amount of things as good as they could. Im wondering if they are not embarrassed after the tour. The trilith studios were presented in a short movie, talking about their history and how they grow over the time and which amazing movies were produced in there and so on. What did we see: NOTHING. We were moved to a field, just a regular field and they said "this is the field of the epic film scene of marvels black panther, Wakanda forever" and all you see is a regular field with nothing else. Not even a sign, not even one set material. You need to use the power of your imagination through all of the tour because all you get to see are concrete buildings "where amazing movies were shot". We walked into a sound studio, with lights turned off. We felt a small tiny bit excitement as we thought there is something prepared for the tour guests. Well after they turned on the lights it was just a huge empty building. The tour guide, desperate as he was, tried to "sell" us a yellow security line on the floor as the most simple but effective and brilliant safety feature in a movie studio. Are you trying to make fun of me? All in all, after 1 hour of disappointment we were left speechless. Maybe there is something more ongoing in the summer times, but dont ever go there in the winter times. You will see nothing, nothing and again - nothing. + You get charged $30 per person for it. You have such a great potential of doing something really great out of this place and I really hope you will evolve and develop a tour, which is entertaining throughout the year.

The Ridge Nature Preserve - Fayetteville

Alexis B: Beautiful and quiet trails. Super nice place for a walk/hike. They even have a bathroom you can use! There are wooded meadows, little creeks, and the paths are well defined with markers. There are different trails that you can follow and they’re all color coded. I would say to not walk here alone because it’s far in the woods, so make sure you have someone with you while you walk. You can hear the birds and when you walk along the creek on the blue trail you can hear the water flowing. The trails are nice and shaded so even if it’s hot out, the shade keeps you cool.

McCurry Park South - Fayetteville

Mo Al: From out of town, Boys playing soccer at this field. The field looks fairly good and flat. The grass looks healthy but can use fertilizer to look greener. All and all, excellent field

Starr’s Mill - Fayetteville

Emptynesters Travels: I love Starrs Mill. Right now there is a downed tree that is blocking the good view of the waterfall from across the way of the red building. I have been there many times and it is a very peaceful spot. There is also road construction going on at the bridge nearby. The dark photos were recently taken showing the downed tree. The photos taken in day time were taken a few years ago, showing the potential once the tree is cleared up! It is a beautiful place. Can get some great reflections of the mill too on the water.

Holliday-Dorsey-Fife Museum - Fayetteville

Maya Lee: Quite and quaint museum especially if you love civil war stories Gone With the Wind and Southern history. Only $5.00 for adults, which makes it a decent place to try something new.

The Labyrinth of Rome - Rome

kelly pender: Nice little outdoor area to spend some time. Walk the brick paths and see if you make the correct turns to make it to the center of the labyrinth. If you like, find a little stone along the path and place it in the center of the labyrinth once completed. There is a little viewing bridge on the hill and a couple of trees with pretty flowers. A very relaxing spot to spend some time contemplating the world. There is a gift shop up the hill. Local honey is sold there and you can get informational maps and pamphlets. Nearby are several hiking trails for you to explore.

Clock Tower - Rome

rhonda leap: Im giving it a three due to it being under construction, and the clock was wrapped in plastic. I will be coming back to see the museum they are creating. The scenery is nice with the old churches.
