There is a small parking lot on the west side off of E. 2nd St. and the driveway looks more like a private drive. The tower is surrounded by a beautiful small park. The tower and clock are examples of great engineering.

Clock was built in Waltham, Massachusetts and shipped here on October 7, 1872. Impressive workmanship. Definitely worth looking at.

Chieftains Museum/Major Ridge Home - Rome

Steve S: House where Major Ridge one of the Cherokee leaders lived. One room talked about Ridge’s life before and after the Trail of tears. Another room had the different owners of the house, how they obtained it and the alterations/ remodeling done on the house. It is a good hour stop. It is a must see if you are studying Indian History. The attendants are friendly. A fee is charged.

cheryl clay: I love to walk from my home down to the park to the walking track. While walking I watch the kids playing ball, people playing tennis and pickle ball, skaters at the skate park. There’s also playgrounds for the kids, a clean restroom, nice picnic area and very dog friendly. This park is very well maintained and I consider it to be a safe place for all of us to enjoy.

Pilgrim Mill Park & Playground - Cumming

Asra Mansoor: Great park, specially for little Ones with swings and slides and AstroTurf. 7 and ten year old were able to enjoy it aswell. Best part is the shade over the swings area in summer, and also the picnic shelter is pretty good.

raj thakkar: It’s a perfect location inside the city of cumming, very popular, specially for the kids who plays soccer and baseball. Lovely place while your kids are playing you can have a quick walk as well as get freshen up under the tree with your chair very open and nice very well maintained by the county. You can also come without kids have plenty of people walk around to get a fresh air . I love this park, especially when it’s a big day. You can go on the long distance. You have to get back early home. It’s a perfect spot.

Little Ridge Park - Cumming

Kat White: Went to this place for a short hike today. It was quite lovely and the temperature was perfect. It was free to get in and they actually allow dogs here unlike other places around the dam. We will definitely be doing more walks here. It was very peaceful.
