1 /5 Michele Figueiredo: RUN FAST AND FAR FROM CODELLI PERIODONTICS!
I was referred to Codelli Periodontics in October 2023 and with great regret, agreed to an extraction and bone graft. I was assigned to Dr. Sadja Gaud and have been subject to a consistent stream of terrible problems since. From billing and insurance problems to the procedure needing to be redone, the NIGHTMARE continues:
⢠November 2023: Procedure completed by Dr. Sadja Gaud
⢠December 23-April 24 no resolution on billing. My insurance company needs x-rays and narratives. (Reasonable requests) I spend hours on the phone each time.
⢠April-visit the office in person still checking on lack of insurance filings-PLUS no one has called for follow-up CT scan on bone graft.
⢠Madison, the office manager, said they sent insurance the information and sent me back for the scan. Madison tells me the bone graft looks great, so I can schedule the implant.
⢠I prefer the doctor review the scan, and I want insurance claims resolved before booking, but I never hear back from anyone at the office. I must continue calling and visit in-person.
⢠Dr. Gaud is not longer working thereā¦
⢠Itās May, my insurance company finally received the items, BUT 2 procedures related to the bone graft SHOULD NOT have been done if the tooth was extracted⦠extraction was the plan
⢠Madison tells me insurance companies donāt know whatās best for me. I tell her the insurance protocol aligns with ADA requirements
⢠She called the ADA and changed the codes⦠shouldnāt the office know better than to do unnecessary and uncovered procedures??
⢠I ask to see Dr. Codelli since Dr. Gaud has disappeared. The office informs me I can only book a āconsult appointmentā with Dr. Codelli as a NEW patient
⢠I request a new referral from my dentist in June. The new periodontist says THERE ARE PROBLEMS!! I need a NEW bone graft, and the implant will have to be higher than it should be.
⢠I explain my situation to Annette -receptionist? to request a call from Dr. Codelli because I am so surprised by it all
⢠āNo.ā Codelli will not call back, I can only book a visit as a new patient. WHAT???
⢠I was referred to Dr. Greg Codelliās office. They did not provide a choice at my initial consult. I was booked with Dr. Gaud. I never questioned --she works with Codelli⦠(By the way, her name is still present on the site)
⢠Greg Codelli had decent reviews. I never thought the named dentist would ignore poor quality treatment in his own office, but I suppose he is moving to his Blairsville office.
⢠I will slowly pay the fees for FAILED treatments that were questioned by my insurance
⢠I have been repeatedly treated rudely by the staffāand now, I am totally ignored
⢠Why should I have to pay for a consult with Dr. Codelli? I am a patient from his office. Hes had his āreputableā practice for many years; why would he ignore this? SUBSTANDARD and INCOMPEHENSIBE!
⢠I will get treatment from a DIFFERENT COMPETENT periodontist to perform the same bone graft again, and hopefully, be able to have an implant in the future
