1 /5 Christian Rekowski: A year ago I had work done and Dixie lost my oil dipstick and charged me $60 for a new one. I was not warned that my dipstick was lost and when I left after picking the vehicle up it blew oil all over my engine bay. I was not compensated for this. My radiator was fixed and I left a fair 3 star review. The pros and cons evened out.
I came back recently to have the car serviced so that it would run again and be reliable. I had a bill for around $650 and the car ran for about a week. The work done was good work I’m sure, but the reliability and in depth aspect that I asked for was not achieved.
Today 2/17/25 I brought the car back in to be serviced again considering it only had run for a short time before. I had just paid for a tow and the owner came out and asked who I was. I told him that I had left a fair 3 star review before. I explained the situation relatively calm and was met with rudeness in interruption. I explained that a 3 star review is not a 1 star and that the review can be changed if you ask. The owner seemed very upset and had an unwilling-to-listen attitude. The owner exhibited unprofessional approach to resolving an issue. He was confrontational and didn’t have the means to create a solution—only a selfish, rude confrontation. The owner proceeded to refuse service to me, a reliable and reoccurring customer, because “They can’t make me happy”. This statement was only created as an excuse to be ignorant to where the business had lacked in professionalism—The business made me pay, in full, for a part Dixie motors LOST. However, they claim to make an effort to maintain a high reputation yet when I wasn’t pleased from a mistake he couldn’t be kind and professional. Like I said; The owner was aggressive and couldn’t manage to resolve the easily fixable situation.
I will no longer be using Dixie motors or suggesting them to anyone that I know. In fact I will let people know not to go here. It is not worth your time and money to continuously bring your car back to a shop that can’t get it right the first time. The unprofessionalism, as well as being refused service after leaving an honest and fair review is unacceptable.
