Everything was very straightforward and to the point. I was back at work within about an hour for both my cleaning appointment and my filling appointment!

1 /5 Kenley Thomas: This office stopped taking Peachstate but mailed out a postcard to schedule a cleaning. Would not recommend this office to anyone. That is very unprofessional. They should have mailed out letters to their patients that had Medicaid or Medicare. I was told thats Dr. Downey choice. It sure is his choice to be unprofessional.

1 /5 PO-TA-TO: Well CHATSWORTH DENTISTRY just lost a patient. Been with them for years self pay. Finally got insurance. Delta Dental insurance through marketplace that I pay out the butt for. I specifically checked before getting it that they would take it. They take Delta Dental but Since it’s not through an employer, they won’t bother filing it. Then, the girl at the front desk was laughing at me because I was upset. I’m sure I can find a better dentist that won’t laugh at me and will happily take my insurance and probably won’t have to outsource every time they need to do a crown or root canal. Treated me like marketplace was a bad word for the SAME exact insurance. THEY SUCK. Please feel free to share.

5 /5 Wanda Bailey: Without a doubt, this is the best dentist office that I have ever been to. I have finally found my forever dentist! The entire staff is so nice and I no longer dread the visit to the dentist because I dont fear being hurt. Dr. Downey is the most gentle dentist I have ever had. From the time you walk in the door the staff makes you feel at ease. I love this office!

Roxann Reeves: I have went to get new dentures made a total of 7 times. Tonya told me you should never half to use an adhesive on upper, and just 3 dots on your bottom. Well I half to use more adhesive with the dentures yall made, than the ones Affordable Dentures made. I called today to try to get this took care of no response. 05/09/2025. I paid you $1600.00 dollars for dentures, that, doesnt stay in my mouth. I will never walk in your office again, and definitely will not refer you. You should give me my money back, but I know that want happen. Think about it folks and do research before you try to use local businesses. This time I definitely made a bad decision.

Mark Hatch: Disappointed I had appointments to replace a crown and the entire time Dr. Polk was coming in and out of the room; 5 minutes once, over 10 minutes once and almost 15 minutes once. I understand you need to check after the hygienist has cleaned their teeth, but give me a break. My hygienist today was very polite, going there for years, never had an issues with her until today. She defended his actions, lets make it clear undoubtably I did not have an appointment to replace a crown and I am done with Family Dentistry. Have a nice day.

Perla LG: I scheduled and appointment for April 8th 1:30pm. I’m going to assume on the offices behalf they made a mistake in setting my appointment at 1pm. I received a call April 7th to confirm my appointment, my appointment time was not told to me during this call it was just to confirm i would be attending my appointment the next day. I get a call from the office at 1:06pm on April 8th asking if i was still going to my appointment at 1pm. I told the lady on the phone my appointment is scheduled for 1:30pm. I was confused & told her i would be showing at appointment scheduled time. I got there at 1:32pm & waited in line to sign in. I finally signed in at 1:38pm (the lady’s in the front were attending another patient party of 3). After i signed in a lady with short pixie cut hair, brown hair with brassy highlights, black square glasses, & a protruding mole on her face says to me “you are late”. I tell the lady that i was scheduled for 1:30pm & she says “yes we were expecting you to come a little earlier at least”. i had no idea that was expected no one had told me to show earlier to my appointment at 1:30pm. She hands me a clipboard & says “here start filling this out & we will see if we can attend you today” i proceed to tell her “you know what i can come another day since my appointment time is an inconvenience.” (i was not bothered at all i understand we all make mistakes) she proceeds to tell me “fill it out so you won’t have to when you come back again” i could feel the tension in her voice & i tell her “it’s okay i can just go elsewhere”. I was not mad at all i just didn’t want to sit there in tension after being scolded at for being late to an appointment that was scheduled wrong on the offices end. She told me i was “very rude” as i walked out. Due to her poor customer service attitude it scared me from even wanting to be sent to the back to even get my teeth cleaned. I really looked forward to getting treated here after looking at all the other positive reviews. Unfortunately I’ll now have to leave a bad review.
