Jay Paxton This is a highly rated service center. However, the main complaint I have is the constant up sale tactics used and the lack of records that implicate poor performance. If you have a problem checked out and the say nothing is wrong make them note it on the repair order and be sure to save the repair ticket for future reference. We had our brakes checked because of a grinding noise when breaking in the rain. They checked the brakes and said there was nothing wrong. Approximately six months later we had to have a brake job due to an excessively worn brake pad caused by a sticking caliper. They had no record of the brake check performed.

Ashley Shiver My husband and I have bought two cars from Lagrange Toyota and never had an issue with the service department until November 2024. The service department called my husband stating it was time for him to get an oil change so we made an appointment. When my husband arrived for the appointment he was asked if he wanted service as well, my husband said no that he was there for an oil change. He was told an oil change was not necessary due to it being synthetic oil and it only had to be changed at 10,000 miles (which he has only been 5,000 miles). He said there for 1-2 hours then received a text stating he did not need an oil change but they recommended he get an alignment/tire balance/rotation. My husband declined these services as they were not needed and all of that was done to the vehicle just a few months before when we initially bought the vehicle. Once he drove it home that day, the truck was shaking, wobbling and pulling hard to the right. We also did not receive paperwork from that day (which is mandatory for them to give you a copy of all services performed and declined). From November 2024 to January 2025 we had been attempting to get someone on the phone about this issue. I left multiple voicemails, called almost every day and no one would ever return my call. Finally I got Joey on the phone and he told us to bring the vehicle in and he would make things right at no costs. So today we brought the vehicle in to have it looked at and fixed only to be belittled and talked to like we were ignorant. The service department did say that the vehicle needed an alignment but that they would not be paying for it. I explained that Joey told us that he would take care of this issue but they were insistent on not taking care of us like they had promised. Joey never came to speak to us personally, only a service advisor spoke to us and he was quite rude and spoke to us like we were ignorant. Absolute worst experience at any customer service department I have ever encountered. Do not recommend buying a car or getting it serviced at Lagrange Toyota and if you do, I highly recommend taking a picture of the weights on your tires and balance prior to your vehicle getting serviced. We were not looking for free service or a hand out but I do expect our services to be preformed with integrity which was clearly not done at this location.

Allen Luff Jeff is a great service manager but Roger is very rude. After bringing my commercial van to them for over 4 years and spending thousands of dollars in repair cost I was told to never bring my van back to them again because I as the owner of the van calls to much for update on repair. Had to take the van back several times for the same repair but always paid the bill. Just spent over $700 and the van broke down on its very first run for the same problem. Dont recommend this shop to anyone.

Katie Braden Took my van in to get fixed(told them it was burning oil quickly and there was a problem with the valves) so what did they do to fix it? They just changed my oil for $95... Ive had to refill my oil 3 times since then (problem not solved) and who charges that much for an oil change??? Not happy. They did not listen to me at all.

JLoot This is by far the best mechanic ive ever been to. They work with class and they do not take shortcuts. They will get the job done and then some. Love these guys they did awesome. Put a brand new transmission in, fixed my oil pressure and all. RDR is the way to go when it comes to mechanical issues in your car

ReShada Williams Staff was amazing. I have never had this type customer service at a repair place. Will come back for sure. Price was reasonable compared to others was the best. Got tires rotated and balance was in an out with in an hour. Will return when Im in the area.

Alan Higginbotham My hats off to Ricardo and Mike at Pep Boys for taking care of us the night before Thanksgiving day, and for even staying late to do their job! They patched a tire, took our tire off and made sure that it held air before we headed out and they verified that our sensors were working. They were informative and explained what happened and how they were going to repair it. I recall Mike stating, “I’m not going to charge you until I give you a free tire inspection, first we need know what’s wrong.” My kids also stated that their bathroom was clean an added bonus for a car shop that is not very common. The details: We had a nail or shrapnel from the road puncture our tire as we were driving down the interstate a few hours away from where we live. The tire sensor immediately went off and we were losing air fast! It was right around 6:30 and they were literally right down the road. A nearby gas station also had air which helped us to get there. Pep boys was 3 minutes away but we were losing air fast. I was worried and even accidentally blocked the bay, not meaning to. To make sure the tire could reach the air hose. Both the customer and the employees were very hospitable and non-judgmental of my minor mistake when I was under stress. Earlier that evening, I called them while at the gas station and he said “we are open till 7 PM, you get here before that time and we will see what we can do for you.” They were honest, sincere and did not over promise or give us false hopes as he did not know the situation over the phone. They also both spoke Spanish to my kids who have been learning Spanish in school. Thanks for taking care of us and for having a great attitude while working late! Thanks for letting us be your last customer this evening! If tipping was allowed I would have given them one this evening!

Katie Volino I was driving home from a long wedding weekend and my tire blew on the side of 185. After being stranded for over 3 hours, I was towed to Pep Boys in Lagrange and the team was amazing. Richard and Micheal immediately started working on my blown tire and examined the others only to find they needed to be replaced as well due to very low tread. Thank you for looking out for me and getting the job done quickly!

carma fields Buyer Beware!!!! Brake job started out well until the owner did not know how to fix it!! He presented me with a car that the brakes peddle was worse than when I left it with him and he waited to see if I would accept it as it was! He then told me he had been on the phone with Ford and everyone he knew and no one knew what was wrong. He said he could try to fix it, so I left it with him. The following day I decided I would take it to a brake place and I went to pick up my car, over $800 and the brakes were worse than when I left it with him!! He also replaced the brake pads with used pads!!! Just saying, BEWARE…..

Kayla Morrison Beyond pleased with my experience here. I needed ball joints replaced on my Volvo XC90. Not only was I quoted and charged 500$ less than quoted by other shops in the area, but the customer service and quickness of the repair were exceptional. My car is now driving better than it has in a while and I can safely transport my kiddos. Thank you so much Winston and crew. I will be returning.

Brittany Potter I stopped in unexpectedly after seeing signs advertising $20 off oil changes. I asked for a conventional oil change, and Hunter quoted me $59.99. A short time later, he let me know they only had synthetic oil available, priced at $79.99, and I agreed to proceed. The service itself was fine, but when it came time to pay, Gabrielle told me the total was $79 — which didn’t reflect the $20 discount advertised. I explained that Hunter had already quoted $79.99 for a synthetic oil change before any discount. She insisted the $79 already included the discount, which made no sense. I asked for an itemized receipt, and she returned with a blurry photo on a coworker’s phone. From what I could see, oil and the filter weren’t even included in the original total. She acknowledged that and went to check again. After a few minutes, she said there may have been a computer issue and adjusted my total to $73 — which still didn’t add up. When I attempted to pay, my card was initially declined due to an “unknown bank.” I told her it was TVFCU, and after some time, she confirmed the bank was recognized and said my total had somehow changed again — this time to $69. I paid and left, just wanting to be done. Looking at the receipt later, the final total was: • $79.99 (synthetic oil change) • $4.99 (oil supplier surcharge) • $4.20 (tax) = $89.18 - $20 discount = $69.18 It eventually worked out, but only because I spoke up multiple times. I couldn’t help but wonder if they assumed I wouldn’t question it — being a woman with a toddler in tow. Overall, not the most transparent or professional experience.

Thomas Sainthill I am vary distance and the Service of this Jiffy. not only where the prices outrageous. they proceeded to spend the first 10 minutes taking my engine air filter off. to tell me it was dirty, but it was perfectly fine they charged me $147 dollars for a just a oil change that would cost me $55 dollars to do my self The least they could’ve done was fill up my windshield wiper fluid. come to find out they Overfilled it by a quart, and he did not put the support arm back on that he Unbolted to get my engine filter off.

Angus M They send out scam letters stating that you have a recall on your vehicle and have to come to them to get it repaired. None of my vehicles were ever sold at this place, none of them even have an active recall, and even if I did need a mechanic Ill take my vehicles to a real mechanic with a privately owned shop. Dealership repair bays are famous for 3 things. Doing piss-poor work that you inevitably have to pay someone else to fix, trying to sell you parts and services that you dont need, and overcharging you about 10 times more for everything. Only a chump would bring a vehicle here for anything.

Bryan Griffin I took my versa in for a brake repair they told me it was going to be around $1,200 they were going to do the best they could for me .When I came to get my car it was $1,400 and when I left I had brakes to get home and when I went to use my car the next day I had no brakes they went straight to the floor. I told them that they had almost caused me to get into an accident and they said that they would bleed the brakes again they bled the brakes and the same thing happens I had breaks when I left the next day when I went to go to the hospital for a surgery I had no breaks and almost slid into a car again for the second time while trying to use my car thats was supposedly fixed. So I took my car back and asked him to see what was going on and they said oh well its the master cylinder and the booster and thatll be another $1,000 upon hearing their answer to me I checked for the other dealership that I would have normally gone to if they had not been so overloaded when I went to Maxis, and they said that the job that they did I could have had done for $725 have you were shot and with the booster and the master cylinder it would have been another $700 so what I paid for one job I could have gotten both jobs done for the same price of one. I will never take my car back to them again I feel that they are overpriced they have always been that way to me I was in a bind and wanted to get my car back on the road as quick as possible and I paid the supreme price for it but still the car not beating in working order my car was not working when I left that station for both times whether they knew that or not remains to be known. They have made their last dollar office cuz I will never bring my car back to that garage for a flat tire

He doesnt over charge and hes straight forward to the point no running around the bush. Steve Doran If you want your stuff half fixed for full price. Take it here. When I brought my car back and asked if they had even test drove it to make sure it was fixed I was told “well we took it around the block” The speed limit around the block is 15, the issue my car was having, was happening at 50. Then when he told me it needed a fix that was supposed to be done with the original, he wanted to charge me more and said “well we we only fix what you tell us” Good news is, if you had a good lawyer, it would probably be an easy civil case to take them to court and expose the crook for what he is. Make sure you document everything if you decide to take your vehicle here.

Christian Hedrick I cannot stress enough, how much of a crook this man really is. It took him two months to get to my truck I stayed in touch with him on a regular basis for about six months And I lost his information. Well, in that time He was trying to get a salvage title put on my truck But anytime I talk to him he made it seem like my truck being there was no big deal at all. Luckily, my wife got it back when she went up there and talked to him. We got the truck and it’s still leaks oil $2500 later. I do not recommend going to this place. There are far better cheaper and more trustworthy people.

Steve Compstn Very nice shop I needed some threads cut for a water meter cup link they were on it right away I was on my way in less than an hour saved my day
