_SImplyBeauty Kee He just told me he couldn’t fix my car because I needed to go get it inspected afterwards and it might look like he did something on purpose. (sounds to me like the previous review was true, because why are you assuming something else may be wrong) . I then said “well I don’t need you to inspect it, I just need it fixed, I’ll go somewhere else to get it inspected” ( to avoid conflict of interest). He still denied me service!! This man is very discriminatory and I do not recommend!

Tanner Colatosti i went here for a safety inspection for out of state rebuilt title. seems to me its just a cash grab. i failed because i dont have a headliner and he said my radiator wasn’t supported correctly. the inspector makes 50$ off every inspection but only spent 15 minutes (if that) looking over the car. theres no way he could give a thorough inspection in that little amount of time. he quite literally was just looking for something to fail so he could get it over with. the radiator is supported just fine theres a metal wire previous owner attached for some reason but thats not holding anything theres no tension in the wire. so if i cut that the radiator would still be held up and he wouldn’t have known im missing the bottom piece either way its still supported and its not just gonna fall out when im driving. for the headliner he told me because i have airbags there i need a headliner. my immediate thought was if i took out the airbags u wouldn’t know they are existed. what if i had a headliner but no airbags there and i was able to turn off the srs light he wouldn’t know that difference. my point to saying all this is i dont think its a real inspection i think its just if he can point something out. i dont think he even hooked up a code reader. my car was already deemed roadworthy in another state so im not sure why this process is required again. im out 90$ for a tow 103$ for the inspection. ill be taking my business elsewhere. DO NOT COME HERE IF YOU CAR DOESNT LOOK PERFECT!!!! it doesn’t have to be perfect make it look like its not missing anything. the guy only looks to see if somethings missing he doesn’t actually know

Renee Gardner Stopped to get a steering wheel cover. They also put it on for me. Got down the road and decided that I didnt like the cover. Went back and they took the cover off and replaced it with the one that I liked better. Very friendly staff. They were very helpful. I will be going there again.

Guillermo Garcia Did a great job with the repairs. Very friendly and nice people. Even help found my kids batman toys that was lost inside the bumper lol. Also, had a very good experience with them giving constant updates and keeping open the communication.

jim summers Avoid this Athens location and use other locations. We had our vehicle repaired here and they used a broken headlight. The replacement headlight moved constantly and would shine straight up into the sky when we accelerated and then straight down to the ground while braking. Not sure how this was missed during the repair as we noticed it immediately. The experience only got worse from this point. We frequently had to pop replaced parts back into place as they were often falling off and into the wheels and tires. When we returned the manager said it was an easy fix and would take four hours, it just needed the bumper realigned. We agreed to leave it for a day so they would have plenty of time. While there, we listened to the staff go into a backroom (near their restrooms) and argue over fixing it. During their argument, we learned that the original repair technician was no longer employed there and they really didn’t want to fix our car. They were very loud and we could hear everything from their waiting area. I scheduled an appointment and we dropped the vehicle off the night before the appointment. The next morning a lady called and stated that they had no record of our appointment. The promised “four hour repair” resulted in wasting two days of vacation only to get it back unfinished and more parts hanging off. Check out the pic of the vehicle when we went to pick it up on January 3rd after they had the vehicle for two days. This picture is in their parking lot! I popped the trim above the wheel back on so we could drive the vehicle home. I attempted to work with the location manager, John, but his aggressive attitude and lack of follow up only created more problems. He was very hostile on the phone. John really should not be interacting with customers as he’s greatly damaging the reputation of Caliber Collision. This poor repair experience coupled with his bullying attitude are something that I will never forget. The Suwanee location ended up replacing many parts to correctly repair our vehicle and their level of professionalism is a million times better than Athens. The Suwanee location needed our vehicle for an additional ten days after the Athens location initially “repaired it”. I will never return to the Athens location and will let my friends and family know about our experience. After this experience, Im going to tell anybody with vehicle damage to avoid Caliber in Athens.

Sophia Goldsmith Can’t say enough great things about Jimmy and his team. My car broke down on the way home from work, and even though the shop was about to close for the day and it was freezing cold, they towed my car and started working on it. They put in my new alternator in less than an hour, and invited me in the shop so I wouldn’t be cold and offered me coffee. Not to mention it was inexpensive compared to every other shop I’ve gotten work done at. If it wasn’t for their hard work, I would’ve been stranded with a broken car in the cold. Thank you Jimmy!!!

Paul Johnson Absolute worst experience with a mechanic I have ever had. Tried to give them multiple chances to fix the problem and the car kept getting worse. Really wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt but in the end we paid them a ton of money and the car is worse than when we started.

Andrew Haley This was the second car I have bought from them. They are honest, no pressure people. Laidback atmosphere, they have their beautiful dog, running around the office, my kids loved it. I was in a pinch for a new vehicle, they worked with me to get me out the door with a really nice car. I 100% will go to them again, they are a rare lot in the used car market. Thanks again guys!

Billie Baker Griffith Automative Repair did an excellent job with my car repair. I highly recommend them for customer service and quality of their work. Plus they worked especially hard to keep the cost as low as possible and went the extra mile in a way that gave them very high ratings in my opinion. I will not hesitate to use them again if needed. Pleasant, good people and top-notch work.

Emily Clance So glad to have found this shop! My car is 10+ years old at this point and has started needing repairs, and Classic City Motorworks has both let me know what needs to be done and worked with me on spacing everything out so its more affordable for me. Christie and Morgan in the front office are friendly and great with customers, and while Ive been surprised a couple times by just how much needs doing on my car, its all 100% understandable and Ive never once felt like Im being overcharged or oversold. Ive even recommended visiting friends to bring their car here while they were in town. As long as I live in Athens, yall are my mechanics!

Allison Williams As a young female, I get very anxious about having my car looked at. It is not uncommon for mechanics to over-charge or misguide young women into spending way more to fix their vehicle than necessary. Randy is the complete opposite! Instead of convincing me work needed to be done on it immediately, he addressed the main issue, and told me what to pay attention to so far as what else may be needing work soon. He was kind, respectful, and communicative throughout the process. If you are looking for a trustworthy mechanic, Randy is your guy!

nicole hall Absolutely love these guys. Fast and friendly. Knowledgeable and fair. I just had surgery and couldnt get my vehicle right away, they patiently waited for me to be able to arrange its pick up (a bout 2 weeks) and allowed me to pay that day. Definitely recommend.

Athens Auto Tech is a Japanese specialty and all Asian models full-service repair shop. Some small exceptions to domestic vehicles. Kevin is the manager of the shop and is extremely friendly, polite, overly knowledgeable, and experienced with 40+ years of automotive services. I support small businesses, as should everyone, so call or go by for quotes, inspections, and repairs. They are the best quality shop that I have ever found!

Alechia Jadwin If I could leave no stars, I would. This company is the biggest joke Ive ever come across in my life, from the way they talk to people and respond to bad reviews because they cant or dont know how to do their jobs properly. I called this company to replace a starter on my sons truck. And I was told to send a text message, which was the first thing that kinda caught me off guard. They dont talk to you on the phone. They want everything done through text message, but needless to say. I bought and supplied the starter. After Travis came out and replaced the starter, he proceeded to tell me that it still wasnt starting and we now needed a starter Ignition switch. So I approved for the repairs to be done for the ignition switch, and Travis came back out to replace said switch but again, Travis said it still wont start. And nows hes not sure why. He stated that he followed a wire from the starter to the ignition switch, but once the wire became taped up with several other wires, he didnt want to go any further. And proceeds to leave. Leaving both the new starter and the old starter in the front seat and didnt come back to try to rectify the issue at all when I asked him when he could come back out. I kept getting told it would be a week or so before he could get back out to me. So after two weeks I told him not to worry about coming back out, I would find another mechanic to finish the job. Well it turns out that Travis Head broke the plastic wire connector on the starter to where the wire wont even stay connected to the starter. And he not only did this on the old one, but he did it on the new one as well. Along with frying nine fuses, and frying my sons ECM. So not only am I out the almost $200 for the first starter, but $460 for Travis to come out and put it on which he didnt do. And now I have to replace a $450 ECM, buy aonther starter to have put on plus 9 fuses. This company and its mechanic is a joke. They have poor communication skills, and I honestly dont believe they know anything about car repairs other than your basic skills like changing oil or changing brake pads. Not once, have they reached out and tried to offer me any kind of a refund or even any an explanation. I was left with I dont know what the problem is. And two starters sitting in my front seat and Im out over a thousand dollars after I pay for these repairs again. I dont do very many reviews, but when you have search poor work done that you pay your hard earned money for. I couldnt not warn others about this company and its shady work. If you value your vehicle, dont use them, take it somewhere that has a reputable business. Ask people, you know, for references to reputable mechanics, because this is not a reputable mechanic, unless youre having basic work done.

Ryan Mcdougal Great customer service and always took the time to explain any other needs to my vehicle that I didn’t know about. They never pushed extra services like others tend to do and the waiting room has quality seating and beverages to make it very comfortable while waiting. I think I have a new place for all my cars needs! Highly recommend this place!

Roxy Pourshoushtari Helpful folks, will squeeze you in last minute if they can, will correct any mistakes on their own dime, and are generally reasonable about what they tell you is needed for your car. They have also been pretty fair about how much they charge. I’ve brought my car here several times and will probably be bringing it back.

Decided to Reach out to the crew at car craft of Athens and spoke with Shelby who was very active and informative throughout the process! Fast, direct, and straight forward from start to finish and very proactive with contacting warranty company, time line, what to expect and very pleasant and professional to deal with. Car craft has Definitely become my new go-to for anything vehicle related. Highly recommend!

R Sears My daughter has been in Athens for 3 years. I decided it was time to find a place I could trust to perform the service on her VW Jetta. I read a lot of reviews and read a lot of recommendations of the various UGA parent groups. I found Car Craft comes highly recommended. I now know why. I called to see if an appointment was necessary and ask some other questions. The lady I spoke with was very knowledgeable and helpful. We were told we could drop off or wait and if we needed to drop off that they would offer a courtesy shuttle/ride back to class or work. My daughter dropped off and I was sent the inspection with the estimate to approve prior to work being performed. When the service was complete they reached out to let her know and offered to pick her up. The bill was exactly what they said it would be. The service was done in a timely manner. My daughter called when she left and she said everyone was super nice and she would definitely recommend them to others. Thats as good as it gets for me and I will recommend them to friends with kids spending time in Athens.

Payton Schubert Great guys! Would defiantly recommend these guys if you are having any issues with your vehicle. Took my 2010 vw cc in for a check engine light and coolant gauge not working. After only having it there for a day Dixon called me saying it was fixed and ready to pick up. I also paid way less than I was expecting. I cannot explain how thankful I am for these guys help.

Gloria “Glo” Had my Volkswagen passat wagon picked up weeks ago to find out whats going on with wiring and fuel line, They did tell me in advance they had a couple of projects ahead of me but I still had it towed in for when they were ready to service it. Did a great job got it back a week later just a minor issue. Not Expensive at all.

Julie Morris This was my first experience with Japanese Motor Works and it went so smoothly. I brought my vehicle to them for a 60k service. They were super friendly and communicative, and did a great job making me feel comfortable and doing the service required for this mileage. The owner was present and we had a great conversation with him. They even noticed a small part that was not replaced when I last had it in for service at the dealership, found another one for me, and installed it. I will be back.

Mary Poland Alan at Japanese Motor Works was extra helpful. He got me in quickly and I was able to get my car fixed before I would have even gotten an appointment at the dealer. The service was excellent. I highly recommend Japanese Motor Works. The people are professional, knowledgeable, courteous.

Donald Marx I regularly see the owner (Louis) of D&Nays where I work, which is how I found them. Louis is very friendly and extremely knowledgeable about automotive repair. I know he is knowledgeable because I went to college for auto mechanics. After several conversations, I decided to use him next time I needed service. So, when my brakes needed service I took it in. Everything went very smoothly. After dropping off my truck at opening, he gave me a ride to work, fixed my brakes, and picked me up after work. I liked the convenience of having the work done the same day, plus getting a ride to and from work. It was a nice surprise to find out that he included a 24-month personal warranty on his work. Also, I previously took my truck there one other time to have a potential problem checked. Louis took the time while I was there to inspect it and use his diagnostic scan tool to check the vehicle computer for any trouble codes. Any other mechanic would have charged about $70 or better to check for trouble codes, but he did not charge me anything. Im thrilled that I found an excellent mechanic that knows his stuff, cares about his customers, and doesnt overcharge. Thank you D&Nays!

I’ve always felt like they were fair - price wise - and have never had issues with my vehicle following a repair. They’ll uber you home too if you need to drop off a car. Just a good place to work with.

Keith Hubbard I was very happy with Car Doctors! I got an oil & filter change at a great price via promotion. They did a thorough check of my vehicle, with some recommendations of upcoming issues without the high pressure sales pitch that I’ve experienced with other companies. I will certainly return to Car Doctors for all future maintenance & repairs. Additionally, the staff is very friendly while professional. They didn’t mind that I had my bulldog wait with me in the waiting area. Great first experience!

F H If youre BLACK or FEMALE steer clear of this predatory business. Absolutely horrible of a company and will not fix the true problem. They prey on the poor and uninformed and will charge $500 for a water pump replacement. They are unethical and will get over anyone they can. Plus the handwrite the pricing which tells you they make up pricing on the fly. STAY AWAY!!!
