Abdulaziz Alfahaid Short review: Trustworthy, they will tell you whats going on with your car, and what you need to fix. No games. My story: My car stopped working, At first I thought it was a dead battery. I jumped my car, but still not working. so my conclusion was it could be the starter. I called the towing company and the guy took a look at it, and he also thought it was the starter. We took it Matt and the first look he also said it might be the starter. He called me after a couple hours telling me that my car is completely fine and that my battery is damaged and he had to change it. He said thats all what I needed. If it was someone else, they may claim that the starter was damaged because thats what it seemed like it. Instead, he replace the battery after he ran multiple tests to make sure the problem is only with the battery and everything else is working fine. At the end, he only charged me for the cost of the battery and not even his replacement fee.

Paul Batts Matt is an awesome mechanic and an even better person. Ive been bringing my vehicles to him exclusively for about 8 years as of 2021. At this point my Wife and I are looking for odd old cars to drag in just to see if we can find anything Matt cant fix. So far he passed all tests!

My battery terminals were loose and I had a hole in my tire. The owner will probably try to avoid you afterwards, then youll have to speak to the rude old lady at the front.

Howard Goldstein I love Eddie’s auto repair. I have referred many people there. I have never had one complaint ever. I had a coworker tell me his mechanic said his car was unrepairable and it should be sold for scrap. Eddie had it back and running quickly and for under $300.

Michael Inks Frank has been great with my transmission replacement. Very reasonable price and hes very responsive to questions, definitely backs his work is just a good fellow. Completely recommend! UPDATE: Frank and I have been on a bit of a journey together with a remanufactured transmission, and replacements.. Absolutely no fault of his, but he has been with me every step of the way and had my back. The great thing to know by the way, is that several other mechanics and a tow truck company all recommend Frank. Im adding my recommendation on that as well.

7.KC’s Mobile Mechanic

Address: 313 E Adair St, Valdosta, GA 31601

Reviewed by the users (26):

David Johnson Dealing with this mechanic was a nightmare! My car broke down on I-75 and I called KC’s Mobile Repair. I had the car towed off of 75. A 30 minute wait became an hour wait. Should have been the first warning. Then he came to look at it and said it was the sensors and he would get them and have them fixed in several hours. Then called back and said they would need to order the sensors and they would be in the next day. My wife had driven up to get me and I told him fine he could fix it and we could come back and get it. We had it towed from the hotel where I had had it towed by someone he knew and the cost was twice what the previous tow was. KC said he only took Zelle or cash and I needed to pay upfront for the parts which I did. The next day the part came in late and he would fix it over the weekend he claimed. Then that Sunday he called and said there was something wrong with the computer and he would need to repair that also or the car would not run. I paid up front for the parts which he claimed would take a week or more to get and then he wanted to monitor the car a bit he claimed. After three weeks, the car was finally available for me to pick up. I asked him was it totally fixed and running and he assured me it was. When I got there he told me he had to replace the battery which was the first I had heard about that and there was a dealership battery in it. He claimed he was not charging me for the battery. (I later saw on the bill he had charged me $440 for a battery that retails for $285 at the dealership). He assured me the car was fixed and running but I would really need to put my foot on the accelerator as it took a while to go over 25 miles. It did not even go a full mile let alone over 25 miles before it died on I-75 overheating and dying it. I had it towed to the Langdale Kia dealership (which was yet another ordeal) and had called KC telling him what had happened. . Interesting enough it was half of what it had cost me to have it towed to KC’s. KC showed up right away at the dealership and went to one of the service personnel and said that is the car I told you about. KC then claimed he had taken it to Langdale Kia and they had said the car was running perfectly and he would provide me the printout they gave him. Of course I never received it. I now suspect that KC had the car towed from his place to Langdale Kia and that is why the second tow was double the other tows. I have strong suspicions that one of my catalytic converters was stolen during this process. Stay away from KC at all costs unless you want to be out of money and still have to get your car fixed Since the business responded I decided to respond. My original payment was made with a debit card with my bank. When I found out that the service and parts had not been done, I disputed the charge with Chase which found in my favor. Two other payments to KC were done to Zelle since he claimed that is what he had to do. The phone he used I later found out was to a number in South Carolina that was in the name of a deceased person. This company is a total scam. It needs to be shut down and investigated by law enforcement

Kaseena BEWARE!! He came and did no diagnoses other than me bus won’t start. He insisted it was an alternator so I bought one. In less than 30 minutes he had it swapped, left all the bolts and nuts loose and didn’t even hook it up correctly. Refused to answer when I called him back. This break down was back in August but I saved the name and number for future reference so I wouldn’t lose it. I also called back to be sure the young lady who was with him still answered the phone. I am not mistaken. Beware!!

Jake Goeldi We cannot say enough good words for Ben’s Tire and Auto Repair. My wife and I were on our way back to Central Florida following our wedding in the Blue Ridge mountains when our van gave us some trouble late on Thursday evening. On Friday morning I was calling around because we wanted to make it home and did not want to be stuck another night. Most places we called said that it was Friday and that they would be booked out with work for more than a week, Ben’s was different. They heard our struggle and said if we could get our van towed to them, they would do their best to get us back on the road. The team at Ben’s did just that, and the owner himself even stayed after their closing time on Friday evening to talk me through what they had done on our vehicle. My Ubers to and from the shop even both mentioned how good of service Ben’s provides, one driver was curious how I had heard about Ben’s and mentioned that it is the only place she takes her car, my other Uber driver mentioned how the owner would always come and eat breakfast at the local restaurant he helped manage. My experience firsthand solidified what my drivers had to say about Ben’s… It is very apparent how much he cares about his customers and the larger community. If I did not live hours away, I know I too would only take my vehicles to Ben’s.

Mark Irvin A-1 and they’re especially the tow truck guy ( I think he said he was “turtle”, anyway, they will know which guy I’m writing about. A-1 sent a truck operator who went way beyond anyone’s expectation for taking care of us. “Turtle” was his nickname as I recall. Our class A motorhome died in front of Prince Chevrolet on North Valdosta Road at 4pm on a Friday. We had roadside assistance insurance and went through every option, promised, others taking money and not showing up, rejection, and lots of we will be there in 90 minutes….blah, blah….anyway, let focus on A-1. Finally by 1:00AM, we contacted A-1, all they said was “we will be there, pay us before unhooking” This was a very complicated job as our motorhome is 25 years old, has air brakes, air suspension, sits very low, we had a lot of work to get to where we could tow….hunting and finding hidden air bleed valves to release brakes and more. Bottom line, he stayed with us all night finally getting us to an RV park and out of danger, we both saw the morning sun. If you could have witnessed his determination, you would be impressed! I know that this is about A-1s “can do” attitude and the drivers care to do everything possible and finally got us to safety. My wife and I are so grateful for A-1 getting the job done and I can’t say enough about “Turtle” the driver. If the name was different, he will now be known as turtle inside the company. Thank you so much, I highly recommend A-1!

J.C. Davis Not that nice to African Americans. In the past my doctor recommended this place and spoke such good things about it. So, I was expecting a good experience with excitement. Had a worker speak to me as I was about to walk inside, told me to hold a minute so he could get somebody, never showed up. I called the store all to be disrespected and told to go elsewhere because they don’t do business outside. Why would your worker tell me to hold on instead of saying it’s best to walk inside? The way the entire experience went for me was embarrassing and humiliating. As we know, times are changing. It’s time to start being more mindful of where we seek help/business. I don’t like to leave these reviews, but it’s time to start acknowledging things for what they really are. God bless.
