Jonathan Conner Mr. Richard and Will are awesome. Bought my car in Thursday afternoon. They had gave me a call saying it was ready at 8:30 am today. If you want quality for an affordable price please go to this shop. Mr. Richard is very friendly, nice, and knowledgeable. He and his staff works on all types of cars so do not be afraid to bring your car here. Even if you had prior bad experiences with shady shop or mechanics who lie about what they can or cannot do not be afraid to give this shop a chance. This is the best mechanic and shop in Georgia.

Kristin Massey I stopped by on a Tuesday afternoon to see about new tires for my Mercedes. It was determined that what I wanted would have to be ordered. At 8:00 the next morning Bright Star tire called and said they were waiting on me. In less than 2 hours they had my car ready to go. I have been using Bright Star Tire for over 30 years and this experience was just as good as always.

Brenden Myers Lamar and crew really took care of me on short notice. They got my vehicle in quickly, diagnosed the issue, and provided me a fair quote. They even had it ready the same day. I definitely recommend using ABS!

Emily Hilton I’ve been taking my vehicle to Douglas County Auto Care for years and I can’t recommend them highly enough. The staff is knowledgeable, honest, and always willing to explain what needs to be done without pushing unnecessary services. They’ve helped me with everything from routine oil changes, tires, brakes, to diagnosing a check engine light issue. Their service is efficient and fairly priced especially in comparison to the quotes I’ve been given from the dealership. If you’re looking for a reliable, trustworthy auto repair shop in the area, they should be your go-to.

Kaitlyn My car broke down last Friday and AAA towed it to this mechanic for me. I filled out the slip for the key drop box and I checked yes on the section where it asked if I wanted my old parts (this comes into play later) I called often, asking for updates, and they finally told me what they suspected was wrong with my car just a few hours before they closed on Monday. Over the phone, I was told that it would be $350 to replace my timing belt and I was required to make a $297 deposit before they began working on my car. I made the deposit and they replaced the timing belt the next day. Somehow, my starter broke in the process and I was told that that would be an extra $390. This required no deposit. They told me they would have my car ready early the next morning, but I called the next day and was told it wouldn’t be ready until noon and that they would call me when it was actually ready. They never called me. I called back around 1-2 and they said I could come pick it up whenever (it’s frustrating because I didn’t receive a call like they said I would). When I went to pay my bill and pick up my car, my total was almost $300 more than I was told it would be! Looking at the receipt, the quote doesn’t match up with the price I paid at all. It wasn’t a mistake of leaving out the labor cost, because the cost of the parts did not even match what I was initially told. I asked if they had taken off the down payment I had made earlier and they had. My total was still just $300 more than I was told it would be. They straight up lied to me. Also, when I asked for the old parts, they didn’t even have them. I asked the employee up front and he told me that they had to ship my starter off somewhere and he literally said “The timing belt is in the dumpster”. It’s so frustrating to be in a vulnerable position and have somebody take advantage of that. I’m giving two stars because at the very least, my car is running now. I would recommend getting a second opinion before paying here because you don’t know what the actual price is going to be.

Cheryl James It was my first time using them, they were fast, polite, informative and honest. It was fixed the same day that they received it! We also had them do an oil change while they had it! We have definitely found us a new repair shop for sure!

Wauketa Hill I wish that I could give ZERO stars! I visited this business on July 29, 2025 for a tire plug , which was $50. I received 2 plugs/patches and I was cleared to drive off but when I got a half a mile away, the tire that was fixed started to sound and feel funny. I pulled over and there were only 3 bolts in the tire and 1 stud was missing. At this time the business was closed because I was their last customer. I had to get a tow back to the shop. The owner did not reimburse me for my tow and claimed that I could have driven with 3 studs and bolts but I came in with 5. I only wanted my tires properly fixed and a reimbursement due to this not being my fault. The receptionist is the owners girlfriend. She has him saved under “my sweetheart” and he is her husband and they have 4 children and she had a bad attitude as well. She had said that she fires the staff for not doing their job but he, the owner, thinks that she’s being harsh. He was very rude and would not agree to reimburse me. They also could not fix my tire and had to ask the workers behind the shop to do it. The men at this shop were very helpful and stated that I should be reimbursed as well because things could have ended badly! The men at the shop behind them showed me where the bolts were attached wrong and was strip as well as the tire striping. DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR HERE!!! UPDATE::: after an hour of waiting at the shop behind this business, she walks back to me and attempts to start an argument about this review! She was yelling and saying that she has a masters degree and she doesn’t need to be in the internet. She was very irate and I told her that it seems like we’re both upset so have a good day. ALSO, while waiting a woman pulled up and stated that they messed her car up as well!! REVIEW WILL BE DELETED WHEN I’M REIMBURSED!!

Derek Fager Great customer service, I get all of my tire work done at Mr Tire. The owner is always quick to help and always has a smile on his face. I was leaving for a trip out of state and found a screw in my tire. The owner came out and removed it and said was no damage to the tire. I appreciated the honesty.

Tammy Key We could not be happier (well happier if our daughter hadnt of backed into someone), we were looking to get the damaged fixed and some other mechanical issues fixed. Jose was always responsive and kept us updated on the progress and it was a quick turn around. He was able to get us in within a few days and had the car ready the next day!

T Denise If I could a negative rating I would. This guy is very very unprofessional and disrespectful Arrives late in the evening poor communication etc. I ask for an oil change tune up front back brakes and a tie rod. It took him a week and now my car is leaking oil over heating and the gears are stuck. He left oil stains on my property and even brung his girlfriend to my house while he worked on my car until 3:30am He left my garage open with the car key inside and the windows down. He did work that he wasn’t asked to do said he wasn’t charging me then said I didn’t pay what’s owed. He left car parts and bolts behind and did not clean up after himself. He’s not trustworthy and is a LIAR. Hire him at your own risk WORST MECHANIC EVER ENCOUNTERED RUN Go to a shop

eric wilson Americas DIY Auto Repair is a fantastic establishment for anybody who wants to work on their vehicle. I recently used a vehicle bay to work on my 2010 Camaro SS. I needed to replace my clutch that had gone out. The owner, Mr. Joseph and his staff were vastly knowledgeable with my car, talked me through a better approach to work on my vehicle, and were very friendly and patient with me. They have the tools you need to complete any project you need, and you can also bring your own tools to use as well. I will use this establishment again to work on my wifes BMW.

Dan Dan I cannot believe how good of a job they did on my fiancés Tahoe. They painted the hood and side trim. I’ve had bad experiences before at other paint shops and I am so happy I found this place. Very professional and at a reasonable price. I highly recommend them. They are extremely friendly people and make you feel very welcomed. I will definitely be coming back again. This is the place you want to go to if you want good quality work done!

Clinton Stone Brought my truck in assuming my starter had gone bad. Even told Russell it was my starter. He had a golden opportunity to take me for more money, but he didnt. He checked my starter and alternator and they were fine. Just a bad battery. Had me going in an hour. Couldnt be more thankful. He just locked in a customer for life.

Perry Darryl (DJ) Russell does amazing work. I live 45 minutes away and refuse to go to any other repair shop or dealership. He replaced both front axels on my car for a 4th of the price that I was quoted by several other places. He also finished the job within 2 hours. Incredibly professional and great work! I came back a second time to get my back brakes changed and had the exact same experience. Make it easy on yourself and go with RLC!
