3 /5 Daniel Mccauley: Id like to start out by saying I couldnt find anywhere else in Unadilla to eat breakfast. I was the only person in the restaurant. it should have been the warning signs. Ive read the other reviews it must be for dinner or lunch. When I walked in a lady behind the counter speaking abruptly, she said, "You eating in, just take a seat." A few minutes later, she brought me the menu on a piece of paper. All they have is scrambled eggs, so they do not cook eggs any other way for you. I ordered the three eggs with bacon, and everything in me wanted to get up and run, but I always gave a place a chance. The eggs were lukewarm, very dry, and definitely had been cooked ahead of time. The bacon appeared to have been baked in an oven, and it was definitely a lot of time. Again, it was lukewarm, very crispy, a little overcooked. The building and decor is a very unique place very down to earth with great decor and antiques, my favorite the full-size Elvis with the guitar. When you look to the other side, there is a complete old soda shop from the 50s. I guess they dont use it anymore, but it was again a very unique place. A young lady was wiping tables off maybe she was new, I dont know, but I asked if I could get some more tea and she looked at me like she had seen a ghost turned to the elderly man through the kitchen window and he motion for her to get the tea so she took my glass without saying a word disappeared came back with my tea handed it to me again without saying a word and walked away. I would have to say the elderly man in the kitchen window waved smiled and was very friendly. There was a younger man sitting behind the counter I guess because it was time for him to eat breakfast he felt no need to address me as I walked around looking at the decor but again it made it for a very unfriendly place. Definitely wont be eating breakfast there again its on the back side of a track with unfriendly people. It reminds me of an Alfred Hitchcock film where people disappear.
