La Montaña Mexican Restaurant - Athens (GA)

1 /5 Patricia Fulkerson: Arrived at 3:00, left at 5:00. Server was nice, we order a pitcher of margaritas and we got a different type of Margarita. We were fine. Server must have left at 4:00, shift change, never told us. NO ONE CHECKED ON US! Finally we got the Managers attention, order to go and ask for our bill. The Margarita pitcher we ordered was $21.99, we were charged $30.90. Manager was not nice about the situation, we paid the bill, but won’t be back. We like the food, but the service and Manager was not very respectful.

4 /5 Ticia Young: Love the food here but our last visit the whole restaurant smelled like a sewer, or a port-a-potty which made our dining experience less than faborable. Service is always fast and friendly. I wish their menu was a bit more condensed because its unnecessarily long when they could just offer the core items that their kitchen hones. Anyways its good inexpensive American-friendly-Mexican food that we always like to have for lunch when visiting Athens.

5 /5 Alan Stuart: Everything we have ordered has been delicious. The pork carnitas is a great value because I usually have enough leftovers for at least one more dinner. The al pastor street tacos are also very good. Ask for salsa picante verde and salsa picante rojas because the house salsa is bland.

4 /5 B. B.: La Montaña is a delicious Mexican restaurant to eat at. Ive been here three times now and can really say the food is high quality. My favorite thing so far is the salsa, though; I would just come here for the salsa alone. If I were to gripe about anything, it would be the fact that some shrimp dishes come with very skimpy portions of shrimp. I also think the guacamole dip could be improved upon compared to other Mexican restaurants Ive been to.

5 /5 Gary Price: Tried La Montana for the first time and loved it! The wait staff were very friendly and efficient. The food arrived quickly and our entire order was correct. The food was fresh and everything had amazing flavor. The dining area was very clean and pleasant. And the price is very reasonable. My wife and I had two drinks, an appetizer, two main entree’s, and some extra sides, for a total bill under $50! A great Mexican dining experience. I highly recommend them and definitely will be returning.
