GRITZ N BBQ - Monticello (GA)

4 /5 Yaya Styles: If youre in the Fairview area and in the mood for some BBQ, (honesty even if youre not when you drive pass you will be) Gritz and BBQ is a nice quick stop of delicious southern smoked BBQ. I ordered the leg quarters plate with potato salad/coleslaw my companion ordered the Rib Tip plate with bake beans/potatoe salad, neither of us had a complaint, food was delicious and fresh! Our order came out fast! I would like to mention that beans are not vegetarian friendly if that matters. But nevertheless this place is a major must try! Owners are welcoming with great customer service.

5 /5 Angii Kaiser: 1st time visit when we passed thru town. Ribs and pulled pork plates good. Sides of beans, greens and potato salad all yummy. BBQ tea was the bomb! People were wonderful- both the staff and customers from the area. Overall great experience but it’s pretty much to-go meals.

5 /5 Kathryn Ozburn: Quite possibly the best barbecue joint Ive been to in a long time. The gentleman Manning the counter was friendly. The food was amazing and the prices were good. I ended up getting the rack of ribs and a pulled pork sandwich with collard greens, macaroni and cheese and potato salad as the sides. Me and my family are so full. Im definitely coming back to this location again. I will say its not your traditional restaurant, its a thin building on the side of the road with relatively small parking. On the left side of the parking lot is a massive smoker. One table is outside underneath a roof. Theres nowhere inside to eat. But if youre wanting to get some great barbecue, take it home and eat it. It is divine.

4 /5 Henry Morrison II: A local entrepreneur. Cooks his pulled pork and pork ribs on the spot in the parking lot. Sandwiches were loaded with pulled pork, soft buns, individually wrapped and the owner provided two small cups of a homemade BBQ sauce. Meat was lean, not much fat! Great hickory taste and aroma. Two pulled pork sandwiches to go were $10.70 all in. I had to wait a few minutes but worth it

4 /5 Pamela B: Just opened this location in Monticello about 4 weeks ago, and they did NOT disappoint!! Its some of the best-tasting BBQ Ive had in a while. The ribs are smoked and so tender, they fall off the bone! Everything was seasoned good, including the sides (collard greens, baked beans, potato salad and grits). They give you plenty of sauce for the pulled pork. Nice, friendly guys who talk and interact well with the customers. My only complaint is that he put the 2 slices of bread under the ribs, making it soggy. But I will definitely visit again. Nice to have good bbq close to home!!
