I’ve always been a big believer in tipping at least 20% even for takeout if the service is good and it usually is here.
My issue now is that they don’t give you a receipt with the breakdown of the cost, just a total. One day I did ask for receipt with a breakdown and that’s when I noticed that they put a 10% gratuity automatically without me being made aware of it. There’s no notification anywhere stating that. I was adding a 20% tip on top of the 10% without even knowing it. To me that’s not cool or ethical. I know the servers deserve tips and I’m all for it but it should be my decision not the management.
