4 /5 Veronica Coldiron: We drove from Savannah on a Sunday morning after church. It was like taking a step back k into Mayberry. The restaurant is in a historic home. They didnt renivate much. LOL! Thats part the charm, though. Its a buffet that costs a little less than 15 bucks with tax and the food is basically homecooked style Soutern foods like turnips, cabbage, green beans, ham, fried chicken. Etc.
Theres one bathroom. It is spick and span! Its old school with a deep hand washing sink and their cleaning supplies in it, but nice for a small place. The entire staff exude Southern charm and the experience is great! I would have given five stars, but they gave me a can of diet coke, and the waitress stomped a small cockroach at the table next to us. The entire place is clean,so Im sure it came in through the open screened front door, but it was a little unsettling.
If you truly are looking for a buffet with old Southern style cooking and an authentic old world farmhouse feel, you cant go wrong here. Especially with such great service!
