Miss Sherry Arnold The last time I went here was for Tyshon Dye funeral. When I know funerals are supposed to always be a sad occasion, but there was just something so different about this one. We actually had a home going for a very handsome Angel who left us real early but left a GREAT legacy and left great memories with all types of people, his family, friends, coaches & classmates he was just a great all around guy with a beautiful spirit who always carried an angelic smile on his face. My family & I attended First Baptist church for almost a whole year, I met people who were different than me, but we served the same God, so we worship God together, praised God together, read the Bible together, even ate plenty of times together, even at there houses. We laughed together during the holidays sitting around there fire place. I appreciated the hospitality and the generosity of this church family. God bless you all!!! First Baptist Church is a big beautiful church and Im glad that Pastor Raymond is still there doing a beautiful job growing his congregation and allowing people to use the facilities for weddings & funerals.

Elizabeth Halloran St Marys Catholic Church is a satellite church for one in Hartwell. Its members are welcoming and helpful. The father speaks Spanish as well as English, and the mass is later Sunday morning at 11 am. Some angle parking is available, but its mostly street parking thats available. There is a new wheelchair ramp on the side of the small parish, and the building is located on a bit of a hill from the angle parking. Arrive at least 20 minutes early if you need the angle parking. You can park in front of the church on the street as well.

Rose Seraphim You should kick your preacher out, and yourselves while youre at it. Does it not say to take care of the widows and the elderly in the book you supposedly follow? Did Christ not shame the Pharisees for the self same thing you did to this poor old woman by kicking her out and then calling the police on her when she showed up?!? Shes warning you against the turn in which you are taking. The turn to fakeness and money-grubbing prosperity doctrine. They shake and roll all around on the floor and beg for more money. I think the elderly know a bad church or a bad situation when they see it. You, as a church, should pay attention to your elders and what they tell you is wrong with what they are seeing. You have a snake leading you astray and instead of listening to people who built your church you condemn them. See, this is why the modern church is filled with Satan and not Christ. This is why people are turning their backs on the church and not looking back.

Leigh Sharpe What a day of sorrow for the Lord. Please stop pretending to worship the Lord. What your doing to a 103 year old woman is shameful for you and so displeasing to the Lord. See its churches like this that turn people AWAY from God. You are not a Godly church and your pastor is not a Godly man. I dont care what you think she did...she is 103 for crying out loud. She has MORE than earned her right to speak her mind. Obviously she was correct in saying the pastor was trying to change the religion...I am a Baptist and we would shower her with love..not the HATE that this church is spewing.
