Richard Emory Pastor Ryan is a God led man who leads the church with humble conviction. His insights are astoundingly insightful and resonate on so many levels. Just when you think the sermon is about actions, your soul is wrapped in the love of God. When you think it is a spiritual message, your heart is broken and you are at the feet of God with Jesus Christ wrapping his arms over you whispering "mine, forgiven ". Gods pouring out is evident bursting through the doors into the community overflowing, breaking out, touching so many.

Jill P Its truly a blessing to come into a church were you can always feel comfortable and at home, and this church has been, and is, that way for me. I did not grow up in church, but from my first visit Ive not felt judged, or met anyone pretentious or cold here. There are members from all different backgrounds and walks of life, but everyone is welcoming. The choir here is extraordinarily talented and powerful, and its worth visiting NMZ, even if you have a home church already, just to experience it. Whether the service is led by our pastor or a guest speaker, the services almost always feel personal, and lead to a breakthrough. This church also runs a top-notch food ministry program, the House of Manna. It provides food to hundreds of low-income families in the area, every week, and I feel blessed to be able to be a part of it. Made up of a wonderful community that has not just encouraged me, but truly helped me to be better, NMZ is truly a special place.

Becky Wilson Sunday Nov. 29th we visited the North Mt. Zion this date. The Holy Spirit of the Lord filled this place on Sunday morning. What a blessing from our Heavenly Father. We were greeted and welcomed so well. The people were friendly. They have an incredible praise and worship team that is lead by the Lord. What do I mean You might ask?? I would describe like this, the ones leading us in worship you could feel the spirit of the Lord living within their soul and it came pouring out as they lifted words of praise to our Heavenly Father. It was so refreshing. I doubt they are paid professionals as is often the case in our larger churches today. They were singing straight from the heart. The Pastor was friendly and taught straight from God’s word And he was passionate in the word of God. At the end of service he came over to us and personally thanked us for coming and hoped we’d be back. My husband and I both were so happy to be back in the house of the Lord. Has gone without food or gas for her car. I left a pretty detailed message and my phone number in case they knew of someone or an organization that would/could help somehow. Never received a return call and she never heard from them. Finally found a job that starts 2/9!!! Please pray for her and needs!!!

They verified where I lived where to send the check too. Staff is polite, there cloths closet if need. U do need to call to see when they are there. Take ID, lease if u got it, any proof that can help u verify where u live.

Sara Keen Eastgate church is truly something special. Me and my family were traveling through the area and attended 3 Sunday services. Small church, who speak the word of God. Amazing pastor, who isnt not afraid to talk about the hard topics and delivered holy Spirit lead messages. I hope God leads more people to this amazing church and does beautiful things for them and through them.

Nancy Bell Let me just say how blown away I was by the kindness of strangers in this lovely Baptist church!! I was a little nervous crossing the threshold of a Baptist church, being a Catholic, because of the rivalries I grew up hearing about. I couldnt get within 20 feet of the door before I was greeted with a GENUINE smile and welcome!! We Catholics are quiet about our welcome and see you laters. NOT these folks!! The pastor, Wade, was funny and so down to earth that I didnt fall asleep and when some sweet elderly persons phone went off in the middle of his Easter service his response was so fitting...Gods calling! Lol! The whole church giggled! I felt very alone this Easter morning,not having any family in this area, that when I left I felt like a room filled with friends!!! Thank you to Kelly and the sweet gals at Studio 116 who gave me their Easter service card when I checked out!!!!

Keith H It would appear this church and its pastor have forgotten what it is to be Christian. Im a disabled veteran with a service dog for post-traumatic stress. My wife and I had been across the street at Dollar General shopping for our stay in one of the local cabins when I felt diarrhea coming on due to my diabetes medicine. The bathroom at the Dollar General was out of order so as Christians we saw the church across the street with vehicles parked around it so we went there knocked at the side Glassdoor which appeared to be some type of meeting room. Lady came to the door I explained our situation and she shook her head and says I was told not to let anyone in. I told her I understand that but given the circumstances cant you make an exception she said no I said can you call someone she called the pastor and asked him and he said no. I told the lady that Jesus would wash my feet if I was a leper he would lay his hands on me and asking to use the bathroom at his house is too much to ask for she called the pastor back and explained what I had said and asked him again if she could let myself in my wife and my dog would wait outside to use the restroom at this point it was an emergency. She came back and said he said no you have to go somewhere else. I told her that she should be ashamed of herself and the pastor should be ashamed of his self Turning Away someone that is well-kept well-groomed a veteran with his wife standing right there from using the restroom. As Christians were supposed to reach out and be gracious and help people. My wife and I are deeply devoted to the church and this would never happen at our home Church. Think about this, what if we werent good Christians and we were a lost soul that had heard that Christians are compassionate and if you are ever in need a church is a safe place to go two for help. And they were turned away with a shake of the head and a cold no. That lost soul would remain lost because they would decide right then and there that Christians are all talk and no action and everything theyd heard about Christians is lies. I truly believe the Lord test Christians daily and if this had been a test for this church and its pastor to show compassion and common decency to someone in need, you failed miserably. Shame on you. They didnt even offer up the information that there was a gas station down the street. Not being from the area we didnt know that, fortunately I was able to make it to a bathroom but just barely. After going to the bathroom we went back to Dollar General to finish our shopping and we asked the people at the checkout line and the cashiers if they knew anything about the church or Pastor across the street and they said that they knew the old Pastor who had passed away but didnt know anything about the new pastor, so I shared this story with them and they were horrified. Ill be sharing this story with our congregation when we get home as an example of what not to do as a Christian Church.

This church is dedicated to teaching children good moral attributes and providing less fortunate children with a place to go on Wednesday nights for meals, games , and learning. This is a conservative God fearing, Bible believing, praying , loving church that makes you feel like family.

Bellz T Ive only been one time however I think the people are nice. The pastor is nice not sure about his preaching yet. I havent gone to church there on a Sunday yet. Its very child/youth friendly, and has activities for the whole church. It is a small and local church. It reminds me of my childhood church.
