1 /5 Mickell Dent: Long Review Alert.
I am a serial entrepreneur and the CEO of a growing Corporation whose primary focus is to assist in advancing individuals who experience mental health diagnoses and behavioral challenges. I recently expanded my Corporation to GA and wanted to partner with Truist (after seeing a few branch locations near our office and during research). I decided to open an account and apply for some of their products. I had a great experience opening a business checking account and applying for a credit card with Tammy. However, Tammy could not complete a line-of-credit application for me, so she transferred me to Peju Fapohunda, the Vice President and Senior Small Business Banking Consultant.
After the transfer to Miss Fapohunda, my experience went from great to horrible. From the initial time we met via the phone, her tone was very negative. She only offered me the lowest loan option, and I had to ask for additional amounts before she provided other options. When I requested that she clarify certain things, she appeared "agitated." She questioned me in what seemed to be a negative tone every time I told her I met Truist qualifications (e.g., when I informed her how many years my company had been established, she challenged me after providing proof). When she requested documents (that she didnt appear to think I had on hand because she was ready to end the call immediately after requesting them), I asked her to hold for one second, as I attached the requested documents to her in an email. She agreed to hold and ended the call after about 30 seconds of holding. The banker, Tammy, attempted to reach her via phone, and Miss Fapohunda said she was no longer available. During our entire call, she spoke in a discouraging tone. Her energy appeared hostile during the whole experience. If the representatives are anything Like Peju Fapohunda in the future, I will take my Million-dollar (and growing) Corporation to a bank that values its customers more. If you are applying to a line of credit and get Peju, I recommend asking for a different rep.
