1 /5 Ronald Brown: My experience with South Atlanta Family law has been terrible and at times unprofessional. My case took a year to see a judge and that was tied to the office not submitting a request to the court house. I consistently had to reach out for information on my case and reminding the team to move forward with actions that were needed. My agreement stated I need a balance soft one amount to go toward court proceedings and that number changed verbally, but not in the written agreement. After the lawyer on my case changed, I saw some movement. After I went to the court and asked why a form hadnt been submitted, a new paralegal was able to submit and get a court date. The lawyer missed that court date due to health reasons. After missing that date, a new date was submitted and the office told me I needed to pay them some more money. In the end, I refused to pay more money for a case that had yet to see a judge. My retainer initially paid was $7,500. How that was used up and never went before a judge with the firm is still baffling to me. They were removed from my case and provided all the files they worked on for the case. A heads up, when i was going to fire them earlier in the case, I was told my balance was not refundable, even though no outcomes were made from my case and the balance was above the required amount within the contract. I would not recommend. I will be filing my complaints also with the Barr.
