1 /5 Terri Berry: I’ve been going to this gym since it opened. A few months back I had an accident that caused me to be out of the gym and unable at the time to call
and freeze my account. I called 2 months after and asked them about my passed due balance and if there was anything I could do or if I needed to pay it fully so I could get back into the gym. They told me they would wave the late fees and past due balance and I would pay that current month. They communicated that the manager approved it and would get to my account in a few days so I continued with paying for the month. My account was practically unusable because it still showed a past due balance so I couldn’t sign in or pay for the next month due because the billing issue was never fixed. I tried calling them every day for a week. Never answers. I finally decided to go up there 2 months later to see what could be done about my account since they clearly never intended to fix it or there was a miss communication of some sort. The manager who works there was incredibly rude. She acted like I was stupid, insisted it was all my fault that I didn’t know how to use my app (I do, I’m very tech savvy) and kept telling me to give my phone to her after I clearly said no several times. She was defensive off the jump and wouldn’t listen to me clearly. She kept accusing me of “not wanting to pay” I have paid every single month I have been to that gym. I was TOLD something would be fixed and it wasn’t. Since when is that on the customer? I still do not believe she even understood what I was saying considering she was so defensive and rude off the jump. Had she been willing to listen and communicate effectively I would’ve been willing to pay that passed due balance. She kept saying it’s my fault for not freezing the account when I didn’t know that was an option and was never told it was. I wouldn’t have had to do that if the manager at the time kept their word? I canceled my membership and left (all the while she was insisting I let her do it because I didn’t know how too). I have never had a problem with that gym nor have I ever seen her up there so maybe she’s new? Not sure.
