Despite being initially approved based on my credit, communication issues arose when I never received a promised call back from Ashley. The approval process then became inconsistent and unfair as my application was denied at the last minute due to allegedly low income, despite my husband being approved with only a $100 difference. This inconsistency, along with the misleading assurances that led me to provide extensive documentation, resulted in a significant waste of time and effort. Adding to the frustration, my husband was informed that there was no way to issue him a check despite his approval. Overall, the poor communication, inconsistent approval criteria, and unprofessional handling of the process made this experience a complete waste of time.

While I understand that your loan specialists must consider a variety of factors during the full application process, I believe it would be beneficial for both parties to have a more comprehensive pre-screening process in place. This could prevent situations where credit is pulled, an initial approval is given, and then a denial follows based on information that could have been requested upfront.
This approach could save time and effort for both applicants and your team, and enhance the overall customer experience. It felt as though there was little effort put into thoroughly understanding my situation before making a decision. I hope my feedback can help improve the process for future applicants.
