Danny Stephens: Came in to the Shugart road bank in Dalton with my grandmother to make a savings deposit and to look into possible loan options to refinance her home. We spoke with the manager named Chelsea at the location and she was very helpful and extremely pleasant to interact with. She gave us all the information we were looking for and offered to further help us with all of our banking needs. My grandmother decided to not refinance at this time due to her age but we will be moving the rest of her retirement and checking accounts at Tennessee Vally credit union over to Builtwell soon. One of the two ladies at the counter was very polite and helpful as well, I believe her name was Holy

Brandon Brown: I do not recommend Georgia United Credit Union. After years of business and multiple successful loans and relationships with the GUCU and the Dalton branch, my business account was closed by them. They can say it was for inactivity, but there really wasnt much time that had past since we had paid off our companies last two auto loans before they closed the business account. I was required to have a personal account there in order to open a business account. Since the business account was involuntarily closed, I drew down my personal account there leaving a small balance just in case I needed future services. They took all of the money out of this account. Every cent. They call it inactivity fees. You could call it theft. They say they sent a letter saying it was going to happen. Its just unfortunate. I think they could do better. I was a good customer to them, but they made me leave. So just beware if you trust them with your money, watch the fees closely and stay active!
