seventh symbol Took my son here for his second hair cut. The barber was too rough with him. She wasnt very good at explaining instructions to him and didnt have good patience it seemed. I personally wont be going back to the place.

Justice for All It has taken me a little over a month to actually put into writing instead of just a rating. I cannot begin to tell you how traumatized I am. The lady who cut my hair was Anna at the shugart rd Dalton location. This was her second time cutting my hair I even called to make sure she would be there the next time when I came in. The first time she did my hair perfect no complaints just compliments but this second time .. I don’t think she read her notes in the computer from last time and if she didn’t let’s just say she had to try really hard to mess my hair up I even showed her pictures of me and how I liked it. Was my hair a complicated style you ask? No .. no it wasn’t. I’m a basic haircut it literally is a pageboy cut I just wear it long. Straight cut all the way around. The only thing that could be considered complicated is I like my sides to frame my face … I have a thyroid condition and an autoimmune on top of that so I don’t bleach my hair I don’t do anything because my hair is so thin and easily falls out. Anna could not and did not cut a straight line in the back of my hair at the bottom it’s jacked up jagged. AND she put multiple layers all over I didn’t ask nor want layers in my hair and I cannot tell you what in the world she did to my sides it’s like a reverse framing of the face … I’m just so upset I couldn’t even explain until now because of how up set I am. It took years and years because of my thyroid to grow my hair out to one length all she had to do is cut it straight around the bottom and frame the sides at my face .. I couldn’t tell what she was doing or i would have stopped it she was combing it every which way and I just thought that was her technique for cutting it wasn’t until I got home and dried my hair that I realized the horror because she didn’t dry my hair before I left the shop. The punch in the gut came at the end because I gave her a tip that was more than the cut itself. I’m so heartbroken and upset it’s gonna take years for me to grow the layers out of my already thinning hair. Never will I ever step foot in this salon again.

I went in looking for a curling iron an there was one on the shelf I wanted but the box was all torn up an taped all over so I asked the girl that was working there witch she wasn’t very pleasant! I asked her was that the only box she had in that style an was the box just a return an she literally was like I don’t know an walked away…. HELLO you work there!!! Than I was looking for hair styling idems an all the older women an the girl would say is how they hate the way people come an an write bad reviews… we’ll have better customer service! Ask people if they need help finding anything maybe not standing at the cash register an actually help customers! I want EVER go back In there the store looked so unorganized it’s just going down hill!!!

marla Simmons Ran in to get a few supplies for my hair. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the floors had been marked off..the aisles were clear and the things I needed were easy to find. Staff friendly and helpful. The star was taken for having to carry out my stuff in my hands. I was a little insulted that they were charging for a bag ..a paper bag..to put your buy in. Didnt like this at all. Otherwise..a great shop.

Danny Broome My hair is a complete disaster thanks to Sally’s. Literally you should have to pay for my salon visit to correct. I am a natural red head. I love my color but wanted someone to make it more vibrant and not high maintenance. I know I said that 4xs or more to the lady who helped me. I look like Ronald McDonald now. This was nothing what I was looking for. I thought you had to know hair and hair products to work at Sally’s. Obviously not. I’m am far from happy and checking to see what can be done at this point. Hire ppl with hair knowledge!

I have very wavy hair and Addy took her time and made sure everything was even and to my satisfaction. Great experience!!

Samantha Cristobal If I could give this school zero stars, I would—but unfortunately, one star is the lowest option. At first, the school didn’t seem that bad, mostly because I didn’t know what to expect. However, over time, I started noticing serious issues—particularly with my instructor, Brooke. She barely taught. Theory lessons from the book lasted from about 8:30 to 9:00 or 9:30 AM, and that was it. While the chapters included demonstrations, she never actually demonstrated anything to the class. If we requested assignments related to specific chapters, they were thrown together with little effort. In reality, we had no real assignments and nothing hands-on. If she skipped theory for the day, we did absolutely nothing. She took meal breaks whenever she pleased and prioritized planning parties instead of providing us with meaningful instruction. There’s so much more I could say, but that’s what stands out the most. The directors and other instructors were fully aware of this issue. In fact, they even gave Brooke class plans with hands-on activities—but only to make it look like we were learning whenever the owners came to visit. We would also only deep clean the classroom when we knew the owners were coming. When the owner, Kathy, visited for the first time in October, we finally had the chance to tell her what was happening. The owners did apologize, admitting that the instructor wasn’t being responsible, and assured us that things would improve. Unfortunately, that never happened. Brooke followed the proper schedule for about two weeks—putting in minimal effort at best—before she completely stopped caring. After Christmas break, instead of resuming proper instruction, she had us practice for the state board exam. Keep in mind, we had just been out of school for two to three weeks, so we weren’t even refreshed on how to do state board procedures properly. On top of that, many students didn’t even have the proper tools to practice. The quality of products provided by the school was also terrible. Most of the supplies were cheap Amazon products—some Amazon brands are fine, but there are much better, affordable options out there. The school never bothered to upgrade or improve its supplies. It got so bad that I personally donated over 20 to 40 products for the nail class—none of which were cheap. We repeatedly told them the products in the back were low quality, but they brushed it off. To make matters worse, theft was a common issue. Items would go missing, whether they belonged to students or were part of the supplies stored in the back. Despite this being brought to the school’s attention, nothing was ever done about it. In the end, students had to buy their own products just to practice. And when we worked on customers, we weren’t even compensated for using our own supplies. One of the directors, Myriam, made it clear that if we used our personal products on clients, the clients would still be paying the school—not us. To make matters worse, when I left the school, I was nowhere near prepared to take my state board exam. Not only did I lack the confidence and proper training needed, but I also didn’t even have my state board kit—something that should have been a basic requirement. On top of that, my instructor, Brooke, didn’t even know I was graduating until three days before my last day. Her complete lack of awareness and involvement speaks volumes about the disorganization and negligence at this school. Overall, this school prioritizes appearances over actual education. They put on a show for the owners but fail to provide students with quality instruction, resources, or respect. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone serious about learning and growing in their field.

Marvely Pacheco I just had my lashes done by Alexa, and I’m obsessed! She’s incredibly talented and really takes the time to understand what you want. The results are stunning my lashes look perfect! Plus, she’s super friendly and makes the whole experience enjoyable. I can’t recommend her enough!

Lorena Garcia Alexa is the best lash tech that I’ve had. I’ve been going to her for about 3 or 4 years and she always does the best work. I’ve done hybrids, colors, and freestyles and they’ve all looked amazing. Lashes stay on for a long time, every visit with her is nothing but fun, laughter, and catching up. Omg and I can’t forget Kilo, just the sweetest pup ever!

Stephanie Lamb I have been really struggling emotionally lately, between my health issues & the loss of my beloved fur baby. Made an appt with Lea Hartline from Hartline Hair at Oasis for a hair wash & slight trim. She did such an AMAZING job. My hair felt clean & was baby soft after she washed it. I left feeling human again for the 1st time in a while. And Lea was sooo empathetic & sweet. It truly uplifted my Spirit to see & talk to her & have my hair washed. Nothing makes you feel human again after a severe bout of depression like a simple hair wash. Great job!

Ava Blackwell I love this salon. Carlos is amazing and the atmosphere is so happy and welcoming. The prices are affordable and they do sell drinks for a dollar. Therere services are incredible as well. I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone I meet.

Violet Reyes By far THE BEST place to get anything beauty wise done! My stylist is Aaron Wilson, and he is AMAZING! Always treats his clients with respect and is very accommodating! He is flexible with scheduling when needed and gives the BEST head massage when shampooing your hair! He is patient and always makes sure that his clients leave happy! I will continue to see Aaron for all of my hair needs and HIGHLY recommend him to everyone else needing a great hair stylist in the Dalton, Ga. area!

Rosa Cruz This place absolutely phenomenal! I was helped by Aaron who was fantastic. Great sense of humor and wonderful hairstylist. Definitely last minute thing but he fit me right in. Loved that I wasnt rushed like some places and he definitely took his time with what I asked for. Overall my experience was great, highly recommend Aaron.

Angie Griffin I visited Lecia at Bloom Spa for teeth whitening today. I had noticed in recent pictures that coffee had taken a toll on my smile. She said I would be able to see results immediately, but I was shocked at the difference it made so quickly! I am absolutely thrilled with the results! She is so sweet, professional and great at what she does. I highly recommend Lecia and this treatment.

Felisha Strickland Anna is amazing! I searched for a stylist for my daughter when we moved to Dalton a year ago. She is friendly, always smiling. Does absolutely phenomenal work! My daughter’s hair has never looked healthier! You can have great conversations with her about anything and everything! Love her to pieces! Crystal is amazing too!! I lost both thumb nails in 2017 and have struggled with keeping my nails healthy. She has walked me through growing my thumb nails back out, and helped me get my nails healthy again. I am a chronic nail biter. And she’s made my hands look so pretty! And the conversations are always fun! Love her to pieces!!!

hobo joe I had a girl do my prom hairstyle here and i’m not gonna say her name but she did a very sloppy pony tail on my head and then charged like $90 for it and the wind blew it down during prom pics…just be sure to tell ur stylist to make it extra hold cause oh my it was so ugly

Lori Lee Dover Bishop Heather has some lash extensions on me which I loved. Shes colored my hair for years and its always awesome. Ive also gotten hair extensions by Heather and their great. Ive checked around on prices and Heather changed less than any others that I called and I love the results. I cannot say enough good things about Heather. Everyone at the salon is super nice.

amber vanbilliard My daughter and son both got their hair done this past week. (Baylage, perm, cut, style) Both of their hair came out flawless. Both looked even better than the inspo pics. They couldnt be happier. We have been telling everyone to go here. Ora did amazing and the prices were so good we were shocked. Will never go anywhere else.

Yury Torres I like how they clean the chairs and station after a person was done with their nails. They wore mask and had gloves on too. Amy did my nails I had deep powder and they turn out good. They cant do certain designs on the deep powder.

The atmosphere is serene and beautifully designed. I had such a relaxing massage and facial. They also did a shampoo and blowout. Very happy with their service!!!

Good things: the massage was wonderful, the location lovely, and I felt very comfortable the entire time (aside from due to my own clumsiness, lol) Room for improvement: My LMT seemed a bit shocked that I’d never had a massage before. Between being my first massage & also being freshly postpartum, I did feel a bit awkward going into it & didn’t know what to expect. In the future maybe just go through what is going to happen beforehand & give clear instructions prior to beginning. I did struggle a bit to fully relax because I was mildly self conscious. Overall, WOULD recommend this spa based on my experience. :)

Amanda Parnell Billy and his wife are amazing. Like other reviewers said they know almost all of their clients by name. I have gone through periods where I didnt go for 3-4 months due to budget and the moment I walk in the door after not being in for awhile they greet me by name. They remember small details youve shared through small talk and ask about how youre doing. Their work is amazing and they really do treat you like family. I have been to a few other shops in the area but the quality of service and the customer appreciation at other shops is mediocre compared to what you get here. I rarely leave reviews but the standard of service from this salon has been so good over the years that I feel they really need the appreciation. They know what their doing and the competition could really learn from them. If I could give 10 stars I would have.
