Brian and his staff were amazing and explained everything before it happened so I had no surprises! I didn’t even feel the shot he gave me to numb my mouth and I have very sensitive gums! Kody Mintz Ive been getting cleanings at Family Smiles of Commerce without incident for years paying $0. I received a bill for $251.00 for the cleaning I had in July last year after my insurance had already paid $159.00. After many phone calls to Gabriel, I was told the new dentist which took over this practice last March was not in network. Family Smiles of Commerce has both explanation of benefits from January and July last year. A second x-ray was taken for the year on my first visit and my insurance has always only paid for one. It has taken several phone calls to finally be told today that I will have to pay the additional $166.00 totaling a charge of $325.00 for cleaning and Gabriel will let me know at a later date if I will have to pay the $85.00 for the second x-ray my insurance has never paid for. I wish I had been informed of the change in ownership and the astronomical expense and headache before receiving services. My experience has been unprofessional. I work full time and go to school full time. I stopped by today and left my information to receive my panoramic view for my new dentist and received no phone call back once again. Edit: Dr. Kim himself called and apologized to me sincerely for the miscommunication and did adjust my balance to 0. An email was sent the next day containing my records. I very much appreciated it. Thank you for your attention in this matter.

Hazel Thomas I have been going to Dr Kim since he took over the clinic. He is a very good doctor with lots of knowledge and patience. He has done a lot for me from pulling a tooth to installing implants. He calls to be sure you are not having any problems. I highly recommend Dr Kim.

joanne snyder Dr. Durden is not only a talented dentist, he is also an amazing dental sleep specialist. I never slept over two hours without getting up and never felt rested in the morning. Dr. Durden encouraged me to be checked for sleep apnea. I was dubious because I dont snore often, and he fully explained what sleep apnea is, and its more than loud snoring. He and his wonderful staff have very patiently worked with me for a year and here are the results: I sleep longer, feel amazing and energetic in the morning, the foot and leg cramps have stopped and no more morning congestion (which was bad). All this and no CPAP! It is so important to give the body time to rest and heal! If youre not sleeping well, I highly recommend a visit to Dental Sleep Medicine of Athens in Winterville.

I especially benefited from the detailed information and instruction throughout my first visit! I felt like if I had any questions or concerns, i could call. Dean Mannheimer Dr Durden and his staff are the most pleasant and helpful group to work with. I am a 44 female and didnt have the obvious symptoms of apnea, so I was in the dark for a long time about why I felt so tired and often experienced brain fog. I did a sleep study that confirmed apnea and went to see Dr Durden for treatment. They are passionate about what they do and did a thorough job helping me understand how apnea negatively impacts day to day life and overall health. I was unsure after such a long time without answers that their treatment would have a profound impact, but I feel back to my normal , energetic self. It is a huge relief to know that apnea can be addressed in such a simple way , and I am most thankful that they address the root cause versus simply managing symptoms. I then went back for a deep clean and a third time for fillings. Every time the dentist worked so well it made it look easy. When she came in and met us and spoke with our daughter she did an absolutely amazing job explaining everything to her and us. We chose to go with her for out daughters braces. Our daughter got her braces this week and they did an amazing job with her. She is 7 years old and felt at ease when we left. Everyone is professional and friendly. We highly recommend Dr. Cantrell!

Valorie allen I was seen in this office in January of this year. They sent me to have a mammogram done which is routine at my age. But it showed serval lympnodes in both breast and I was assured by the nurse that this is the best thing to do is to wait 6months and do it again that she knows how I feel. She even tells me to come in and have pap soon....at the end of July so we can get the mammogram scheduled for august..so I do just what she said do...when I call and make my appointment with them to get this done....the nurse tells me that they need to wait till August now...which would put me a month late for this most important exam. 0I mean come on I come from a family were all of them diagnosed with deadly cancer...admediantlly family not distant...they were made aware of this too and yet I feel like they are screwing me around cause they dont know how to do their job or dont care and either one is bad for the public...love to hear from anyone else that has had a problem with this nurse

Michelle Mayfield My husband took his daughters (ages 22 and 23) in to the “health department” to see about seeing a doctor since they just moved here from out of state. Woman at the window was RUDE. My husband was harshly informed that they are a “women’s services only” facility. Wondering why it’s called a “health department” if they only see women? Ended up going over to Medlink Banks and got way better service.

Robin Ingram Employees are polite and seem to care about their patients. They go through all your paperwork with you, but it takes awhile to do that. Plan on being there 1 to 1 1/2 hours for female annual checks.

Rachel Wilson Warning!!!! DO NOT GO TO THIS DENTIST!!! She completely ruined my teeth! And she talks down to you, when you try to to tell her that something is wrong. I had to finally stop going to her, since she couldnt fix the problem, and went to another dentist and they were like what was she doing over there!?!? My dentist told me yeah she really messed you up. Go here at you own RISK!!! I would hate for someone to go through what I been through. I had to spend A LOT of MONEY fixing her MISTAKE!!!

Rob LaLonde I didnt even get to make an appt because the receptionist acted like she did not even want me there. Very unprofessional. Asked if I had insurance which I do. But unfortunately could not find my card but knew the carrier. I asked her if she could call because...as I quote we only take delta dental platinum. I asked her if she could call because I didnt know which I had but I was sure it was the better one of the two. She said no she could not. Which is a lie because I have been to other dentist offices where they have called as well as doctors offices. There was no one in the lobby so she wasnt busy. When I asked how soon she could get me in for a cleaning she said 2 months. She acted like I was waiting her time. I am a successful professional and am really shocked by the level of patient care. Its too bad as I wonder of the Dentist even knows that this is going on. Sure he would not be happy about the fact she is letting potential new patients walk out before he or she even meets them.

Robin Ingram They are always on time, professional, and courteous. They treat the patient like they care about them as an individual not just another patient. They take the time to explain what procedures need to be done if you need more than a cleaning. Theyre also very careful when doing fillings and such. Office staff is also very helpful.

Gisela Bray Yesterday I was having a really bad tooth ache.I told my mom I couldnt take it anymore to go ahead and take me to the hospital because all the dentist office we called was closed because of the weather we got to the hospital they was pack so my mom said if anyone is at this dentist office Im going to stop and see if i can ger someone to the door to help you we stop at Dr.Browns office and thank God him and this other gentleman was there having a meeting they told my mom to go ahead and bring me in they would see what they could do Dr.Brown and the gentleman numbed My tooth and gave me antibiotics i thank god that they was there having a meeting if it wasnt for them two i dont know what i would of done it is hard to find someone who cares about people but i can say Dr . Brown and the Gentleman cares about others thank you so much Dr.Brown i was able to rest

I knew a child that got kicked out because they missed to may appointments, even though their last appointment was given on a day that the dentist was closed. Along with that, I know another child that went their and got kicked out. They went to another dentist only to find out they have over 5 cavities that have not been treated even though they used to go to another dentist. Go to another dentist. A good one around this area is Commerce Dental Group!

vic rio Very rude people. We had a appointment for both of my kids but still had to wait for hour and a half before they called one of my kids back,another hour before they called the other one,in the meanwhile they were calling back other kids that had got there after us. They do not let you go back with your child,they make you wait in the waiting room. I made appointments for both my children at the same time so they could be seen quickly but we ended up being there for a little over five hours. I will never use this dentist again.
