Christopher Valles I absolutely love this place, the "new bald guy" that I saw another person complaining about is Principle Mr. Rivera and he is pretty chill. I like the way that he imposes new rules without them being too harsh on the students, this may be his first year but I believe that he is doing great so far! As for the Administration staff that I saw some other reviews complaining about, I think that they are also pretty chill. If you stay out of trouble then they wont bother. The school itself is great, the custodians do their best to keep it clean and Ive only once had a problem but that was because a student decided that it would be fun to pee all over the stall and not inside. I also forgot to mention the teachers, they will help you learn but only if you are willing to do so. Many people complain about them but I believe that they do a great job. Overall I think that this school is awesome and I love attending it! Thanks for taking time out of your day to read this for whoever is reading this, have a blessed day!

Madelyn Payero This school lets their students starve and it’s annoying that they won’t lay out microwaves for people who have been had lunch since this morning to heat up their food and now they have to starve. It’s ridiculous because we are forced to eat old food that probably isn’t cooked to well. People have their likes and dislikes, you can’t force someone to eat something they don’t like and you guys still haven’t changed anything about it.

Charles Luna Administration counselors are lacking communication I had appointment nobody knew I was coming. Told me counselor was sick and scheduled appointment with assistant principal and the counselor was there so we had our meeting walkie down the hall once we got to her door to her office she said there was nothing that could be done with my daughters schedule even though weeks prior, she requested a Class change

Lindsey Hoffman Worst school Ive been to, good teachers but they dont teach well, 99% of students are always on their phones and arent learning anything. Bathrooms are always nasty, most stalls dont even have toilet paper or paper towels, the toilet seats are filthy they have like hard junk on them. Theres trash everywhere, and gum all over the floor. I wouldnt recommend this school for anyone. There is pretty much no discipline here, theres students jumping over fences leaving and coming to school, students walking from all over to the school (after school is over) so their parents can pick them up and they act like theyve been here the whole time. Students are all the time pulling the fire alarms so they can get out of class.

Jackspy I used to be a student here and the old principal wasn’t the best but when Mrs. Frierson, the old assistant principal took the mantle, things improved. She took down the broken down playground and doubled the school size with the new building they finished installing last year. She’s a nice and pleasant person. The teachers here are all great staff and the gifted program is fun and interesting. My old teachers, Ms. McGill, Ms. Propes, and Mr. Fraser were all great, memorable teachers. Overall okay school that has improved GREATLY over the last couple of years.

E. Lisa (Peachy in Georgia) My children had the best experience here. A little school with a lot of heart. The teachers really care about the whole child, about encouraging critical thinking and not just teaching to the test. So very glad we chose to live in this school district.

JB B The teachers and counselors displayed concerning inabilities to connect with my son and role model proper behavior, which caused our family a lot of trouble and pain. They threatened expulsion without following proper procedure and forced us to withdraw from kindergarten for a reason that made no sense, which was a horrifying and unfair experience. Fortunately PK Yonge is overseen by the UF College of Education, which intervened, investigated, and thoroughly cleared my son of any wrongdoing. The University told us that PK Yonge ignored its policies and denied him fair treatment. PK and UF promised to change their policies and make amends, but the superintendent doesn’t have a job there anymore, so it is unclear who will follow-up with his promises. I still can’t explain why my son was discriminated with unusual treatment, neither could the College of Education investigators, so I’m leaving this review for others to be aware that this school has a lot of problems, and our family suffered severe consequences because of their system.

El Bolo Worst school Ive ever seen. Unfortunately, all of Hall county is this way. Terrible staff. School buses dont even try to pick up children in the morning. They drive right by the bus stop if there arent enough kids standing outside, they dont just pick up 2 kids. Also, teachers dont email anything. The area is very diverse but the children in the school are mostly Hispanic so my children get picked on for their ethnicity. If you have a choice, do NOT choose this school.

7.Bnai Israel Community Day School

(18) Reviews Bnai Israel Community Day School:

Jessica Heft Weve sent all three of our kids to Bnai. The staff are wonderful, the facility is always clean, and we love their approach to teaching. They focus on learning how to be a good person - be kind, caring, helpful, and honest. The curriculum is well-rounded and appropriately challenging. They have field trips, a Fall Festival, gardens, animals, a huge playground, yoga, soccer, summer camp. Our kids have been more than prepared when they graduated Bnai to go to kindergarten (already starting to read and knowing basic addition and subtraction). Our family is mixed faith and weve always felt included and welcome at Bnai. I recommend this school to everyone!

Dani B. We have had such a positive experience at the B’nai Israel preschool. It is very different than a large corporate daycare facility. It is a warm, nurturing, clean, organized and safe environment. It has a community feel where all the teachers in the school know all the students. I highly recommend this school to all those looking for a smaller more individualized approach childcare.

Garrett Hanrahan We enrolled our son at the Bnai Israel school a few months ago when he was not yet a year and a half old. Our experience has been excellent. It is evident that the teachers and staff care deeply for the students and enjoy their vocation. The school is safe & secure. Our son speaks excitedly about attending school and seeing his friends, and we have noticed tremendous strides in his personal development since he enrolled.

Christa Barton Wonderful school! My 13 year old son has been at this school for two years. He had a very difficult time with the middle school environment and this school has provided an amazingly supportive and caring atmosphere. I can tell the staff love their jobs and it shows in their interaction with the students. The curriculum allows for flexibility while also providing academic growth with the individual student. Ive had a lot of experience with the public and private schools in Gainesville and this one is the best by far! I would highly recommend touring this school.

Tammie Juaire The Best in Gainesville! This school helps children grow academically, personally, and socially. With supportive staff, an excellent curriculum, and ideal class sizes, it’s a welcoming place where students love to learn. Plus, students enjoy educational and fun-filled field trips nearly every month! I highly recommend this school.

Elizabeth Pierre-Jean Flowers Montessori is a remarkable school. It is unique in the way they support the social development of children at such a malleable age while still fostering a love of learning. My children enjoy learning. My kindergartener is a fluent reader and wants to learn. But most importantly, as they grew academically, they learned how to be a good person. They learned to communicate their feelings, navigate social dynamics, take care of their community, and to be conscientious. In addition, there is a true sense of community. I could not be happier with our time at Flowers.

Anna Heineman We absolutely love Flowers Montessori! Both our boys went there from age 2.5 - 5. The staff taught them an incredible amount of academics - my older son was well prepared for Kindergarten - but they also taught them how to help one another, and how to love. I absolutely recommend this sweet school to anyone!

Thomas Hawkins Our son attends Flowers Montessori School and we are very pleased! Children have LOTS of outdoor playtime and attention from staff. Everyone is friendly and loving. They teach older children to support younger children. They teach children to resolve conflicts through talks at their peace table. We cant say enough how pleased we are to be a part of the Flowers community.

Amy Kelley I love doing homeschool in this hybrid model where we have like-minded community! The teachers are as invested in the kids’ success as the parents are, and facilitate meaningful socialization in the classroom as well as across grades. The curriculum is rigorous, and also allows enough margin for kids to pursue other topics outside instruction time. I feel supported and empowered as a parent to lead my child’s education even though I do not have an educational background. Best of all, there are voices of other trusted adults leading my children to the Bible. It is central, not an add-on after “real school”. It is part of the daily conversation of exercise, relationships, science, math, & literature, and we collectively get to point the children back to the Truth of scripture and how it applies to every part of life. Also the schedule fits our family, personally. The regular 5 day schedule was a bit much for my 5-6 yo, so the 3 half days has been more peaceful for our whole family. We are so thankful for the leadership of the board and the fact that they are so responsive and inclusive of parents. It’s a great blend of personal care and professionalism.

Katherine Hall The sweetest school with the BEST teachers! GHA is a wonderful place for children to learn and grow - scholastically, spiritually, emotionally, relationally. Our family has been BLESSED to be a part of this school!
5 /5
Kim Eberly We love GHA, we like that they utilize a Charlotte Mason curriculum meet 3 days a week, we homeschool the other 2 days of the week and the school days are shorter than traditional public school as well. This has provided our family the flexibility of a hybrid homeschool/in-class style that allows me time for work and my child interaction with her peers while still maintaining our values and time together.
