Elizabeth Arthur Our daughter has been at The Forest School: An Acton Academy for two years, and it has been a truly eye-opening experience. The school’s unique approach to self-directed learning, critical thinking, and personal responsibility has empowered her in ways we never imagined. We love the supportive and inspiring culture, where students are encouraged to take ownership of their education and grow in confidence, independence, and leadership. The community of guides and families is amazing, making this journey even more rewarding. If youre looking for a school that nurtures creativity, curiosity, and real-world skills, TFS is the perfect choice!

rosa tesfai The Forest School has been an absolute game-changer for my child’s education. The self-paced, learner-driven approach allows students to take ownership of their learning. The small class sizes, hands-on projects, and supportive community create an ideal environment for kids to explore, ask questions, and grow. The school also places a strong emphasis on character development and critical thinking—two things that are so important in today’s world. If you’re looking for an alternative to the rigid, test-driven education system, The Forest School is a breath of fresh air. I highly recommend it to any parent who wants to see their child love learning again!

Ivana RG Our three kids all attend this school and we are so thankful for the help and understanding they have received here. Their transition was quite a change coming from a very traditional European education, and our youngest didn’t even speak English when we got here. The school’s staff and guides (teachers) have been incredible in supporting them to adjust, providing individualized support to meet the needs of each one of them. They have thrived, grown much (MUCH) more confident and independent, in addition to being successful academically. Furthermore, connecting with people around us who have become like family has been incredibly enriching, particularly as expatriates. The school has really welcomed us into the community and we could not be more thankful for the positive, supportive environment that they’ve created for our family.

Junette Cupid My daughter has been attending Oakleaf School for almost a year now, and its been such a wonderful experience. The teachers and overall school environment really prioritize child development through hands-on exploration with toys, books, and child-centered play and activities. They also make a strong effort to involve parents and family members by planning events where we can engage with the classes and students. Overall, its a fantastic, welcoming place for both students and families.

Keeping Up With K Ms.Noney is the worst director ever , very unprofessional I don’t think she have a true passion for kids and is not a loving director compared to other programs in the area. I had to unenroll my child without notice because as a parent I didn’t trust my child around her I only kept it cordial for the one month my child attended the school to ensure the well being of my child . PLEASE DO NOT ENROLL YOUR CHILD HERE RUN DONT WALK !

Asia Clarke If youre a working family, Oak Leaf may not be a good fit for you. Between the school closures (every holiday known to man, Teacher planning days, breaks for every season, pipes bursting, and power outages), incessant sick days, and unreasonable polices we were paying double (sitter fees + Oak Leaf fees) for childcare. For parents who work a normal 8 hr. shift, they have a 9-hour childcare window. I dropped my child off at 8:28a one morning and coincidentally the Friendly Reminder of the day was advising parents to not drop their children off early. You have 30 mins to get to and from work for drop off & pick up otherwise youre charged a per minute fine. They have a strict 9a(daily) & 10a (drs visit) drop off time so I hope you are in and out of your peds office or you will need to hire a sitter. We asked ahead of time if we could drop our child off at10:15a bc of a doctors visit-just in case- Noni responded to us by copying and pasting their policy. The other comments about Nonis attitude are all true. Just read how she publicly responds to the reviews of other dissatisfied parents. There was a time my child needed diaper rash cream, so I brought some to the school after 9a AND let the teacher know Id be returning with it. Noni assumed I was dropping my daughter off late and responded to my knocks over their Ring camera saying they have 9a drop off time and she would open the door when she got a chance. MY CHILD WAS ALREADY THERE AND I HAD NEVER DROPPED HER OFF LATE OR PICKED HER UP LATE!!! I could not take her attitude, the constant health check alerts, school closures, POS system outages etc. and just the overall inconvenience of their school any longer so we decided to remove our child. Unfortunately, we cannot recommend Oak Leaf School to other families. There are more reliable options for childcare.

Agustin Castro We had Bad experience with some of the perosnal... ( I must admit that the quality of teaching from some teachers is not bad). But there are 1 or 2 teachers who should take classes on how to be kind to people and especially to children, and because of them I dont want to recommend them...One more thing: If you or your child have mistakes there are many big problems and I understand that perfectly, thats why we always was opened to find solutions, but if they have mistakes even when your child is affected nothing happens and they minimize everything.
