Kim Hunter We are beyond impressed with this daycare! The staff is amazing—friendly, professional, and so loving toward the children. From day one, my child has felt at home and has developed so much, both socially and academically. The facility is clean, organized, and offers a wide range of fun, educational activities. I also appreciate the consistent communication and updates we receive about our child’s progress. It’s clear that the staff is dedicated to providing a safe, nurturing environment. I can confidently say this daycare has exceeded all our expectations! Highly recommend!

Aszia Pechak Sunbrook is wonderful! Both of my little ones attend, and they’ve blossomed socially. The staff are warm, compassionate, and universally loved by my kids—it truly feels like a second home. Tips from a seasoned daycare parent • Expect the sniffles. When children start daycare, they meet a whole new crowd of germs. Frequent colds are normal, and it can take six months to a year for their immune systems to toughen up. • Arrive by 9:00 a.m. sharp. Punctual drop‑off keeps classrooms on schedule and properly staffed. (The center will, of course, make allowances for doctor’s appointments.) • Get involved. Chat with teachers, connect with other parents, and ask if the classroom needs anything. The more you engage, the more your child benefits from that “second‑home” feeling. Years ago, while pregnant with my first, I toured countless centers before walking into Sunbrook and instantly knowing it was the one. Watching my children thrive here ever since has only confirmed that feeling.

LaToya Harris-Freeman We love Sunbrook Academy. My daughter has been attending for a little over a year and she is doing well. I love being able to talk with her teachers to learn about her progress and behaviors each day. I welcome any feedback/guidance that they provide, especially with potty training. The staff have been great to work with and I am satisfied with the care she is receiving.

Dunigan None of their numbers online worked. I then drove up there to speak with someone for more information. Which is not a problem, I live not too far. Unfortunately, the person working the student service desk did not have good customer service. I was put off, however, the program I inquired about is not offered at the Douglas campus. Hoping the other representatives at the other campus are not the same. Despite it being the last 3 days before break, good customer service goes a long way, even if all of the others are already on vacation. Heck I was on vacation, but if you are going to be open while short handed, give those who walk through the door your best.

Julia W. Great staff, great classes, and an encouraging environment. A safe place to study and a clean school. Officer J. Turner and financial aid “Terissa” are always helpful. Ive been a student since 2019 and although I had a downfall with two out of 20+ teachers my overall experience has been great!

Crystal Young I feel incredibly fortunate to have Ms. Lu as my son’s preschool teacher. She is attentive, caring, and thoughtful in every way. It’s clear how much she genuinely cares for each child’s growth and happiness. Her teaching style is engaging and nurturing, striking the perfect balance between structured learning and creative play. She fosters a warm, inclusive classroom environment where children feel safe, confident, and excited to learn. The classroom is always clean, organized, and filled with age-appropriate activities that spark curiosity and encourage hands-on exploration. Her attention to detail, both in teaching and maintaining a welcoming space, does not go unnoticed. Ms. Lu is also incredibly communicative with parents, keeping me informed and involved in my child’s progress. I’m so grateful for the positive impact she has on my son’s early learning experience. It’s truly a gift to have a teacher who pours so much love and dedication into her work.

Taryn Rumph Cedar’s Preschool is such a warm and welcoming place! I send 2 of my daughters there and everyone there has been so kind and helpful. From the staff at the front to the teachers, everyone has been a joy and they have truly taken the time to get to know my girls. Special shout out to their teachers - Ms. Shaneque, Ms. Khyla, Ms. Nikia, Ms. Clayton, Ms. LaLa, Ms. Allison, and Mr. Robert!! They are all wonderful teachers and we are blessed to have our girls in their care. I also enjoy the rich curriculum the school offers and the frequent pictures we get throughout the day. It means so much as a working parent to see pics of your kids enjoying their time at school. Overall, we couldn’t be happier to send our kids to Cedars Douglasville and we feel blessed that we found this amazing school!

Sir Henry If by chance you are reading this know that colleges will make you take classes and degrees that wont count. There are real only 3 degrees that all of your classes will transfer to a University Nursing, Dental hygienist, accounting. But in short if higher education is your future goal be sure all the classes you are taking is accredited with the university you want to go to. Dont waste your time or money both you can never get back.

Ayala My 4 month old has been at the school for 2 months. We love his teachers Ms. Lavender and Ms.Kristen! The administration is always friendly and communicative. I really appreciate the fact that they have an open door policy and I can go and check on him if I feel he might be having a hard time. I feel safe with my child being here and happy that I chose this daycare.

Joshua Sherrell Our daughter attended pre-k here. Overall it is pretty good. My only real complaint is that it always seemed to be dirty, but its hard to keep things perfectly clean when you have 20 4 year olds running around. The staff were all very nice and attentive and they do a great job of keeping you informed about what is going on day to day.

Sydney Clemons I’ve been calling for 2 days. No answer. I’ve come by and the doors are locked and no one to be found. I read a sign that say go to the auditorium. Which there are no directions on how to get to the auditorium. No signs to point you in the direction of the auditorium on the property. I’ve had the hardest time just getting one piece of paper. Child is already registered, but I need something else. This has been an horrendous experience.

Sister Ariel The front people was cool.. but my son teacher which i can not remember her name. but she was the only African american teacher there was rather rude to my son very cold, short and unfriendly to my family but not to others smh. My son was maybe one of two African american kids there.. it was very uncomfortable..I withdraw him two weeks after enrolling him. I would not recommend this place.

Caleb Sallee Hey, you remember those daycares that existed back in the 80s &90s? You know, where we yell at kids tell them everything they do is wrong and they always wind up getting caught with something? If you answered YES! I suggest you look else where. While this is listed as a "school" and does have some elements, I often found my child to be upset about the program overall. Yelling, bickering, and some how out dated education system to boot. Majority of the teachers seem to have a clique and only listen to one person who runs it. I personally dont know anyone there or what degrees they have, but to me.... You might as well just find a better program elsewhere. One teacher isnt always there who pretty much runs the program and often classes are combined because they dont know what else to do. Again I can not express how much of an experience this was within the last couple of months. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Tianna Bebley If your two mins late you will get turned away , I couldn’t find my kids coat on a rainy day and found out they had it for like two days and that’s why I was running late I had an important meeting and this really ruined my day for my career goals , most daycares don’t cut off at 9 am so it’s very inconvenient. They care for the children well but if your single mother this could cause a hardship.

Valerie Crenshaw I have a profound appreciation for Douglas Prep Academy, where both of my children have been enrolled since they were six months old. What initially impressed me was the day I went to pick up my daughter and she eagerly expressed her desire to stay longer. Now, at six years old, she is excelling beyond her peers, while my two-year-old son has achieved full proficiency in potty training. Their remarkable progress speaks volumes about the quality of education and care provided at Douglas Prep Academy.”

Will continue to use them and recommend to anyone.

syd My son loves the academy. He has become a much better communicator since he started attending. He has learned all his colors and numbers, he gets to play and make friends, and he has learned a few Bible verses! Plus it’s affordable. He loves his teacher and I’m happy I get some time to get things done while knowing he’s completely safe and taken care of.

Laura Tarsi When I pulled up in the carpool lane the first day of school, I was overwhelmed by how many staff members there were and how fast things were going. I didnt like that it was staff getting my daughter out of the car rather than her specific teacher. Well 3 months in, every single staff member knew her name, and she knew most of theirs. I truly felt like every staff member knew who my daughter was and truly cared about her. Sometimes I would see them hugging her as I was driving away. It feels more like a big family. Our teacher Mrs. Cook was great. We are moving now but I am so grateful we got to go to this school & I would recommend it to anyone who is looking.
