1 /5 Princess Tae: UPDATE: I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER SHOE IN THIS STORE.. sorry Jeff I was rocking with you unfortunately,
I came into Walters to use store credit from a pair of shoes I returned in January. I was told when I made the return that all Id need was my ID -- the store keeps the slip on file.
When I gave my name and ID, the associate couldnt find my slip. Instead of continuing to look thoroughly, he accused me of already using the credit or that it wasnt in my name, suggesting I was trying to get over on the store. This was said in front of other customers, which left me feeling humiliated, disrespected, and singled out.
I later found a picture of my slip and saw the store had made the error -- my name was written incorrectly on their end.
Which was funny because I was told it was my fault and that in all the years the store had been operating, they had "never made a mistake."
My name starts with an "S" why was there an "M" on the slip, I have no clue. Even after it was clear I was right, there was no apology or effort to make things right.
In that moment, I did not feel I was given the same respect or fair treatment that another customer might have received. The entire interaction was unprofessional and extremely disappointing.
