3 /5 TJ benefield: My first impression was that this place was like all the other mom and pop gun shops I have visited across the country. This was my first time going in the shop, as every other time I went by, the place was close. Other than the shop being in a great location, neat and orderly, thats where my positives end as I really didnt have a chance to see fully what the shop offered.
For a small town business to not want to have small talk is very off-putting. From the time I walked into the store, the gentleman walked around the counter, sat down, and stayed on his phone never really acknowledging me. Great first impression. My visit continues, and I ask questions as I try to browse. He proceeds to say, "I dont know you." "You are asking personal questions, Leave." Those personal questions where: Are these your personal guns to show the work you do, or do you sell them? Is this an SBR? Is the process to purchase one the same as a supressor? Are you from here? Are you military or former military? Im sorry I was trying to find a common ground and build a rapport with a new business owner....Then he proceeds to say again, "I dont know you! LEAVE!" Instead of, hey, Im Deer John. This is my business. This is what we/I do here. Here are some of the items we sell, and this is what I can do for you.
I visited the Lakeland Ga shop on Main St across from the Court House on Saturday March 16 2024 at 1130. The shop has been open maybe a couple of months.
I understand everyone has an off day, and thats why Im giving Sublime Modifications a 3 star rating for now.
Customer services tips:
When new customers come in that you dont k ow, why dont you greet them and introduce yourself. Give a brief run down of what you offer. Give a quick tour of the business if its not too busy.
***I have officially been banned from my first business ever and its in my home town.
