1 /5 DJ King Joffy: Visited Citi Trends in Monroe, GA on July 16. Walked in with my family of 5—greeted by absolutely no one but fluorescent lighting.
Waited 15 minutes before spotting a human employee, who wordlessly unlocked the fitting room while scrolling Facebook. My 10 year old daughter said “thank you”—the employee said nothing, not even a grunt.
Later, when my son needed to try on clothes, we were told fitting rooms close an hour before closing… it was 7:08. Apparently, they shut down needed fitting rooms early. She graciously made an “exception” for us, but with visible annoyance.
We promptly rehung all items that did not fit the kids like model citizens. Got to the register, waited another 5 minutes. The same employee strolls over and hits us with, “Y’all the ones getting the layaway?”
Spent $164. Got $0 worth of courtesy. Does “budget-friendly” mean customer service gets budgeted out too?
