1 /5 Robyn Sharpe: My daughter and I experienced racial profiling at this store today the first of the year. There was a young Caucasian lady folding clothes when we entered and an African American by the cash register. The Caucasian young lady kept following my daughter and I around and I even tested to see if that was what she was doing. At the end of my daughter’s purchase I proceeded back to the back of the store to see if she would leave what she was doing to come behind us and she did and immediately as we walked back up she followed. The worst part of it was that while following us around there were other people in the store all caucasians and she didn’t even paid them any mind. I was so disturbed but as this is January 1st, 2026 I held my tongue and my peace and got out. I do feel like I will return the things my daughter purchased. What kind of sick disgusting action was that?! I will certainly not go back there to make a purchase, and I wouldn’t mind at all if all African Americans start boycotting this store and all American Eagle stores because of such discrimination. I was really upset believe me because here I am with my child minding our own business of trying to make a selection to purchase and we couldn’t do it without racial harassment by that staff. I’m a big woman and she the Caucasian young lady was clearly a child for me I don’t know what in the world could have made her brain so defective other than hate. I get it people shoplift but can you people find better ways to identify shoplifters because you clearly got it very wrong today. So disrespectful! An experience like this is all the more reason for me to want to leave America. Not kool American Eagle not cool at all. I wish I had gotten her name I would put it in this post. Disgusting!

5 /5 Tia R: I don’t think I’ve ever reviewed a clothing store but here we are. I went in today, 9/27/25, and was greeted immediately by Claire. I explained to her the style I was looking for and she immediately gave suggestions. I recently lost weight so shopping can be awkward because I’m not at my goal weight but only remember shopping based on my previous size. I assumed I needed a larger size than I did. I rang the “bell” in the dressing room and Claire gave size guidance. Surprisingly, I was 2 sizes off. She made me feel very confident in what can sometimes be an intimidating process. I typically buy online but it felt good to be in an actual store and interact staff. Additionally, she assisted with giving me an amazing discount. I highly recommend this store and will be back soon.

5 /5 Anita Christian: Went to AE after hearing I could get a good fit in jeans. Clair, the Sales Manager, helped me and I will say it was a good experience. I’m hard to fit but she was so patient, encouraging and kind to me and it was a really great experience. Finally I have jeans that fit thanks to Clair.

She went above and beyond helping my daughter and me find age-appropriate, stylish clothes that fit our budget and more importantly, fit my daughter’s style and comfort zone. What really stood out was how Clair took the time to connect with my daughter speaking to her in a way that made her feel seen, heard, and confident. She usually doesn’t enjoy trying clothes on, but Clair made her feel so comfortable in her own skin that she was actually excited to try new outfits. And Clair wasn’t just helping us! she was juggling multiple customers with ease and grace, guiding her team, and still keeping the store clean, organized, and welcoming. You could tell she genuinely cares, and it shows in the way her store runs and the way people respond to her. American Eagle, if you’re reading this, Clair is a gem. People like her and her team are rare, and they represent your brand in the best possible way!
