Worlds Largest Peanut Monument - (GA)

5 /5 CA Hyde: We were so sad when this happy peanut was destroyed and blown away in a storm (I think thats what happened). Then when I was recently driving up to see my sister There it was! The happy peanut is back! It just makes me smile. You can see it while driving on 75, but you can exit and pull right up to it, easy to get to - near Carrolls sausage store - which you can also see from 75. Stop, say hi and get a picture :)

5 /5 Louis and Elaine: The World’s Largest Peanut Monument is one of those spots that’s just plain fun. A must stop for families with kids or just people that are kids at heart. Apparently it was badly damaged by a hurricane a few years ago but it is fully restored and ready for visitors again.

5 /5 Frugal Traveler: Erected in 1975 by her estate to honor Nora Lawrence Smith, who died in 1971. She was an GA Hall of fame journalist editor and co publisher of the wiregrass farmer. You can see it off of the highway, but its an inspiration to what my estate will erect in my honor....an automobile in the air perhaps off of I-94?

5 /5 Herb De la Porte: I delightfully kitschy monument on the side of the highway. Located in an RV park but a very easy walk from the country store
