    P N: Every time I go to a nail salon, they remind me of why Im NEVER going back. I got a take off and “manicure”. Since it has been so long since I was in classes to be a nail tech and having a manicure I asked a lot of questions. Especially since previously due to me being sick and having a disability previous techs have done my nails improper. When you go to a salon and ask prices or the process this makes the tech extremely angry. Back in the day the prices were up on the wall so customers could decide. This helps with time management. The cx needs to know what they can afford and they won’t have to ask you a hundred times. Once I decided on a regular manicure no gel, she began to rush and get rough. She only soaked my very dry cuticles for about a minute on one hand. As she skipped very important steps, I asked her to use the proper tool she told me she’d do it later, then told me she doesn’t have the tool. Also she pulled out a bucket full of used “e tip” tools to file my nail beds. Plus she had used “e tip” tools on top of the desk that she used , probably with all the customers that day. On top of putting super glue right on 2-3 broke nails with my nail bed exposed. I don’t need to tell you why that is disgusting and dangerous. I could literally lose my whole finger tip. Then she used one of the larger more abrasive nail files to shape my weak and brittle nails. This caused the shape to be unclean and uneven. I was so afraid to allow her to finish that I told her to just put a top coat and I’d do the rest. She then tried to clean up the nails just to make them look better before my exit. Nail salons have completely lost their way. They no longer care about maintaining you healthy nail or a positive experience. It is only about making money for doing less work and when a certain type of person comes in they make sure to give you the worst experience and up the prices before you leave. I’m so happy I’m done with allowing ppl to mistreat me, mess up my nails, and over pay plus ALWAYS tip. No thank you! Oh yea this cost 40.00 dollars when I swear that changed. I am making this post to hold self accountable and never go back. My fingers are important and God knows I need them.

    lakisha edwards: I went for SNS & pedicure. Lynn did both. She is efficient and shaped my nails as I round as I wanted them without any skin damage. Pedicure was a great experience also. She took her time massaging my hands and arms after the SNS and she did not skip any steps with my pedicure. I am very satisfied!

    Savannah Reed: I found this gem of a spot and I LOVE it! The whole family is so sweet and I felt so relaxed. My nail artist checked on me frequently throughout my appointment to make sure I wasnt in any pain and that I was happy with the way they looked! I will definitely be returning and I recommend this salon to anyone I can!

    A Lauren: I have been going to Ocean’s nails since their opening. I have always been greeted right when I walk in the door. Sometimes there is a wait, but I don’t mind. The reason I like them is they are kind and respect that I like my nails short. A few other salons I have been to have not been nice about wanting a shorter length. You do need to ask the price ahead of time. They don’t have prices posted anywhere for nails. They do have a pedicure book which has prices and the treatment you will receive.

I tend to be very indecisive and never feel uncomfortable or like it’s an issue if I decide something doesn’t look right. Great environment, great deals when you use your phone number if you’re the type to always have your nails done. I would highly recommend this place.

    Catherine Grubbs: I will never go here again!! I got a half pedicure, it was not worth $40, the color was nice though. I wanted my eyebrows waxed, I specifically told the lady to keep my eyebrows nice, clean and thick. One eyebrow was longer than the other one. The short one was noticeably thinner and shorter. I told her this isnt what I asked for amd do you know how long its going to take to grow back. She said it looks fine, it looks good, she did a good job. I asked for an overlay on my nails , I wanted them to still look short but not the same exact length as my regular nails. She didnt even pull out the the things nail tech use to sculpt your nails. I just told her to stop, this is not acceptable and I will not be coming back. I wanted to look and feel nice for a very special event tomorrow and now its ruined! Now I have to get up early and see if any of this is fixable and spend more money and time. Worst experience ever in a nail salon
