She is a true hair expert and educator! She explained each product, how it was to be used and the role it would play in my goal for healthy hair. She gave me a mirror to watch each step of the process and allowed me to touch my hair with the product to know how it should feel. She gives tips and ques so you know when you have enough product, what to do during detangle when that crown area requires a little more work. 4 /5 Adrienne: I found Aubrey on Instagram and saw all the great styles she created. Even though I saw the videos of her styling a tapered cut, I didnt see one of her using clippers on the sides and back so I was a little nervous when she picked up the clippers. I shouldnt have been. She did a great job. Better than some barbers Ive been to. She left me with a feminine cut. No sharp edges like some barbers did. Aubrey was just as she comes across on Instagram, warm, comforting, and a great listener. A big plus is that she strikes a good balance between talking and silence. I never felt like I had to talk during the entire appointment - as an introvert, I loved that. I hadnt had a haircut in over 7 years so I knew going in she was going to have to cut my hair. I explained how low I was willing to go (even if that meant having some damaged hair left)...and she listened! She was not a scissor-happy stylist. She left me with a length Im happy with. As time goes on, Ill continue to cut off any damaged ends. Also, she didnt just apply products to my hair, she also took the time to explain why she chose the products she did and she gave me a regimen to get moisture back into my hair so I can reach my hair goals.

She assessed my regimen via virtual consultation before my first appointment. During my appointment, she asked a lot of questions and so did I. She told me the hard truth about 3 years of a natural hair regimen Id been adhering to that wasnt getting me where I want to be.
