Vincent Hendrix: Best church ever!!! This is the first church that me and my family have ever felt right at, like we belong. They have classes for all children from babysitting to near teens and has an excellent praise and worship service.

Pinecrest Baptist Church - mcdonough - McDonough
MaShawn Searcy: I visited Pinecrest Baptist this past Easter Sunday after attending their Easter eggstravaganza event last Saturday. The event was awesome and my son really enjoyed it. We were invited to come back for Easter service the next morning. I was excited to experience what all this Church had to offer. I was raised in church, though not Baptist so I wasnt sure what to expect coming from a non denomination background. However, I am pretty open minded so I gave it a try. Upon arriving, I had hoped their coffee shop would be open because that was one of their selling points. I even brought my own mug, but it was all gone. My son did not want to go to the nursery so he sat with me in service. It started the way most churches do with praise and worship. However, it seemed to go on forever. I know that Baptist tend to be more lengthy with singing and especially on a holiday. But this felt like a concert that I was being forced to listen to. The congregation wasnt really involved in an excited way. Everyone just kind of stared and clapped at each song ending. I started to cringe when I realized after a TV intro about the resurrection that they were continuing the singing. I realized 47 minutes in that I couldnt take it anymore and I led my son and I out of the church. Though everyone I encountered was nice and welcoming, this church didnt have much spirit to me. I wish I couldve stayed for the sermon because that is my favorite part but I felt the whole thing would be more performative than educational. I will say this experience has inspired me to try other churches and find one that suits me better. Im even open to trying a "high church" and seeing if maybe more liturgy and order is more my thing. Either way, Im glad I tried it and Im glad they welcomed us in.

The Ole Country Church - McDonough
Drew Steese: We started coming here right before Easter and have enjoyed it immensely. We joined not long after and found plenty of places to serve. It’s a small church but it is growing. The Lord is working here and the word of God is being preached. If you’re tired of the church looking just like the world, this is a great place to get a breather. It’s incredibly refreshing to have such a good, loving church home!
