Rix Pediatric Dentistry - Rome (GA)

5 /5 JC Salmon: I went to Dr. Rix when I was little as did my son’s father. I adored her as a child and always looked forward to going to the dentist. My son is now a patient and the care he receives is top notch. My son is 4 and he had to have a cavity filled this morning and I sat and watched as they treated him as if he were their own. Dr. Rix explained everything to him that they were doing (in kid terms) which allowed him to trust and know what to expect. Her whole staff is just as amazing as I remember when I was a patient myself. 10/10 recommend. ❤️

1 /5 Holly Addison: The dentist was very rude to my son on our first visit . She also tried telling me my son had 6 cavities at the age of 4 and needed 5 fillings and a cap . That seemed like a lot of dental work for him when i had been taking my son to the dentist since he was 1 . We got reevaluated and he has no where near that much or needing to be put to sleep like she was saying he needed . I would not recommend at all .

1 /5 Allison S: When we first started going to this dentist we were very pleased when it was just basic cleanings.... moving forward, my son needed to have a tooth pulled. My son is ADHD and autistic. He doesnt understand the importance of oral care due to his developmental delays. The advice of Dr Rix was that they would papoose him to get the procedure done. I explained that my son is almost as tall as me and if I traumatized him, he would never step back into that office with me again. She didnt seem to care at all. If you have a nuro typically child I guess this office is OK but do not take a special needs child. They have no compassion and what seems to be no training on any special needs children. I asked but not even laughing gas was offered. We have now swapped to a different office and are very pleased the understanding and plan of care that they have provided for my child.

1 /5 Landyn: Very rude staff always has been. Comment was made by Dr.Rix herself “ I guess you’ll keep paying for cavities then” just because I said my kids are not strictly drinking water 24/7. To each is there own never felt so judged in my life. Open to opinions, and advice all day but some comments are uncalled for. I hope you see this and rethink how you talk down on people along with your unprofessional staff.

1 /5 Alena Stewart: Let me first say I do NOT like leaving bad reviews. I dont think I ever have, but I absolutely will not recommend this office to anyone. I tried to schedule an appointment for cleanings for my children who have been seen in this office since they were a year old. They are now 5 & 7. I was told that it has been two years since their last cleaning and they are now considered new patients. Their office is not accepting new patients at this time- they will not see my children. I looked back & it has NOT been two years since their last appointment so I called back. I was then told the date is not two years, but 1 and a half years for them to be considered "new patients". Then the lady on the phone said its because they are not accepting children with caresource insurance. First, they would not be "accepting" my children. They are current patients regardless if its been two years or 1 and a half. Second, she never even asked how I planned to pay or if our insurance has changed. Third, why not be honest to start with? They are dropping children who are not on insurance plans that work best for them. I am beyond upset. I hate it for my children who are now going to have to get use to a new office & new faces. --Find a dentist who loves their job and the children they are working with, its not Dr. Rix or her staff.
