5 /5 Donald Thompson Realty: The way I feel about this church is hard to sum up in a review, but I will do my best.
Revivify is what you would call a “Christ focused” church. The goal is to introduce everyone to Jesus, and to help them develop a relationship with him. They accomplish this by having an incredible ministry team filled with people full of passion and love for their calling.
My family started attending services in February of 2023, and we have yet to miss a service since then. I’ll briefly break down some of my favorite things about the church below.
Pastoral Team/Sermons and Services : The pastors here are well educated, and they don’t shy away from telling the truth. The lead pastor prefers to preach with an expository style, making sure that each and every thing that comes out of his mouth lines up with scripture.
Discipleship : Every member of ministry here has gone through some sort of biblical class study, and met its requirements. One of the leaders actually spent several years developing a school of her own called Kairos School of Biblical Literacy. The focus is not only to teach you how to read the Bible, but how to see Jesus in every part of it. If more Christian’s understood the significance of The Old Testament and the references that Christ made to those scriptures during his time on Earth, they would have a better understanding of how to follow him appropriately.
Worship : Worship is not a concert or show. There is no stage. There are no smoke machines or set ending times or cute introduction videos on a projector. We all worship together. The music is carefully chosen by the team based on how much it glorifies God. Too many churches have worship songs where the main subject is themselves and not Jesus. You won’t find that here.
Children’s Ministry : I have a 7 & 4 year old. Thanks to the wonderful team members handling the kids ministry, my children have a curiosity for Jesus as well as scripture and prayer. I frequently hear them singing worship songs and asking us to pray with them before bed. The children’s church is fun for them, but not so much fun that’s it’s more like a daycare than a ministry. We’ve visited places where the children were either thrown in a random room to just wait on us or were filled with free candy and goodies and danced along to some random character on a big screen. Don’t get me wrong, children should have fun, but the class absolutely should be a class. Your children will leave service every Sunday excited to talk to you about what they learned.
I could go on and on, but I decided to hit the three points I think most people are interested in. If you don’t have a home church yet, come check us out. Our services start at 10:00 AM on Sundays.
