Anchors Away Sailing Charters: The journey was a great event put on by Compassion Church. A reenactment of the birth of Jesus. You had the opportunity to go back in time and experience what it must have been like to live during that time. They did a fantastic job putting this together. It really brings the Bible to life. This was walking through an outdoor trail starting with Mary learning that she was going to have a child and ended with the birth of Jesus and the three wise men. Even walking toward the start of the trail, you were greeted by Roman soldiers who were not so friendly, just as you would have imagined them to be. The actors did a great job playing their roles and staying in character. The props were very detailed including walking through the market in Bethlehem and paying your taxes (which they provided the gold coins at the beginning for your taxes) and being counted for the census. This experience took 2 hours to go through but very worth it. We will be driving up there to experience the church service at some point. We are not looking to change churches but we would like to see what there services are like.
