3 /5 Honghao WU: Know this place from my Microsoft screen lock wallpaper - as many of others - added to my travel plan in Atlanta and got disappointed… It is quite impressive at at the end of the lake you can see skyscrapers reflection but the green, the neighboring landscape does not make this place a refreshing and pleasant experience. Not sure because of the season or time of the day I went there - I planned to see it after sunset which I think is the best time of the day for photographing. I might come back for sunrise but not going to put much expectations.

I feel like photos you’ve seen online are a lot better than the vote in real life haha They must have been taken with fancy photography equipment It’s still a nice place to relax although it tends to be quite crowded and somewhat noisy in this area since there are a few walkways right behind Looking at the ducks and the gazebo and bridge nearby is fun though!

4 /5 Allison Varney: Beautiful place to sit and meditate. Conveniently about 20 minute walk from Ponce City Market along the Beltline, so it’s a nice escape from the city. There are a few benches and swings, though right now they were kinda squeaky and need to be serviced or replaced.

Fernbank Forest - Atlanta

Heather Bohanan: We had such a wonderful time. The nature trail was surprisingly good. I do wish they had more dino stuff and real thingsa maybe some animtronic animals . Also some of the displays were vary dark and vary hard to view . But all in all my family had a good time here.

Engelheim Vineyards - Ellijay

Dirk Ebener: We enjoy visiting vineyards throughout Georgia, and Engelheim Vineyards is definitely one of our favorite locations. We enjoy the wine selections, pairing we can do with wines and charcuterie, all with an amazing view over the vineyard. Engelheim Vineyards is easy to get to, with very knowledgeable team members, and plenty of wine information to learn. My score is a 4.9.

Cohutta Overlook - Ellijay

Haley Hammonds: Highly recommend anyone to view this gorgeous overlook! My husband and I eloped there yesterday (for free) and I wouldnt have wanted it any other way!! 1000/10 recommend if wanting a small wedding ceremony/elopement. There was enough space at the overlook for our family to be there with us AND for the public to take in the beautiful views!!!

Gilmer County Parks - Ellijay

JuBlaine: Excellent paved trail for running or walking next to the river! Bathrooms were available and things were maintained. There was a small homeless presence in the morning. The trail had a few puddles after a big rain but not bad. There are playgrounds for the kids that were in great shape! Its a great park!

Tumbling Waters Trail - Ellijay

MIKE SKETCH: Nice easy hike with a good water feature. The trail has some roots but is overall not too difficult. The water fall is nice and has good views all year long. Especially after a rain.

Vets Memorial Park- Ellijay - Ellijay

Justin Guardiani: Older park but a great paved path for walkers, runners and dog walkers to get a solid workout on. For kids there is a great interactive feature to make a stroll fun. The Memorial to all Vets is clearly a must-do. Just about mile from downtown shopping. The path follows the river so the scenery is nice anytime of year.

Cartecay Vineyards - Ellijay

Dj Lorence: So glad we stopped at this vineyard! It was so fun, local, cozy and the staff was so personable! There is a small barn to do the tasting with also an upstairs seating area. If you want to talk with the staff, you can do the tasting standing up at the bar area otherwise you can get tokens. You can drink a glass, wander around then turn in a token to get another. We all did flights of wine tastings and stayed at the bar. Super fun time and the pours were generous. It wasnt busy at all and they had live music upstairs. My favorites were the whites, as those are the grapes they grow on the property. The Vidal Blanc was delicious, wasnt too sweet or dry. I ended up buying a bottle and a Merlot off their library selection. Would definitely be back!

alison wonderland: We were actually searching for the Bigfoot Museum when we drove past. Definitely had to make a pit stop for a closer look. Sadly, a few of the tentacles are broken. Apparently, this has to do with some show called Adult Swim, but I dont watch TV and dont get the reference. Loads of graffiti on it... some funny, some boring. No admission fee. Plenty of parking. Great photo opp.

Red Apple Barn - Ellijay

Heather Hudson: A really fun experience for us and our 5 year old. Be ready to so some walking. Almost everything has a hill, so bring your walking shoes. We even picked a pumpkin on our way out. It was a lot fun and worth the drive.
